So I am sitting here rotting my brain watching the history channel about shows on Nostradamus. The history channel airs so many shows trashing christianity and twisting truths about the bible. Anyways it kills me how these people think nostradamus could tell the future! When you look at his writings they could mean anything! And people take his writings and fit them in and say oh look he was right! When his writings are so universal you can fit them in any time period or event in certain times. Now dont get me wrong I do believe there is evil spirits that could allow people to see the future we see this in the bible,but not to the extent of his writings. I try not to watch tv but when I do I watch the history channel and I have to say about 40% of information about history the history channel puts out are false or atleast the opinions or the beliefs of some of the people hold on these shows. What do you think?

Agreed! Or it's truth so badly twisted or worded that it might as well be false. I don't bother watching it either unless it's on something that isn't God related like on a king or person, but even then I'm a little wary.

I know alot of people who get their facts and history from sources like the history channel and public schools etc.. and they live their whole lives trusting and believing in all the garbage without ever going and looking for the facts themself.

I Know, they made me mad when they did a documentary about Gideon i think? with the 300 men- and they made it sound like it was ALL Gideon, god had nothing to do it.

YEAH! Like many people believe Utopia was a serious book about a man's serious ideals. READ THE BOOK PEOPLE!! It's a satire. Utopia in Greek means "no where." Stop believing everything you hear.
I always rant about Utopia...and Latin. I went to a classical education high school where we were taught to think for ourselves but not dress for ourselves (stupid uniform!). It was a charter school so it wasn't religiously biased which is actually good because in an argument with an atheist they can't throw it into my face that I was brainwashed (haha, George ;D ) by catholic school.

leah- my mother was watching that when i got home from work today and was completely enthralled by it. personaly, i think it's made to enthrall us, but its lies. and i really wish someone could put something out there that 'opinions' and 'guesses' cannot be labled as factual. but eh, really, the real truth always gets covered up as 'boring'.

i have watched those shows before and they are horrible. they lie and they twist the truth and if someone were to think that christianity brainwashes people they need a reality check because many things on tv i believe brain wash people and they dont even realize it. its sad.
