I know this might sound negative Eddie but everytime I see you post something about being a pastor you say "when I grow up I want to be a pastor". I notice the keyword "I" meaning you want too. What if its not your calling? Keep in mind that there is a great percentage of people who attempt and even go through schooling and they end up failing or realize it wasn't really there calling. Most pastors had no idea or didn't have a desire to be a pastor. Just remember its what God wants you to do. Now I'm not saying its not your calling cause you may be called and go on to be a great pastor called by God. I am simply just giving you the details of reality and make sure your putting your wants and desires aside and your putting Gods first.

As for sermons I noticed great pastors and wise ones can take a verse or two and make an hour long sermon on it. Its hard to say which ones to speak about cause I think you really need to be tuned in to God and listen and preach what he wants and not what you want. Things that might influence what you preach about at that time may be affected by current events problems in your area or church etc... I know this isn't specific but just my thoughts.

I agree with PHBOI...Being a pastor and creating sermons isn't something you do just to have time to fill in the sunday schedule...It takes deep prayer and meditation to find out what the holy spirit wants you to say to his sheep.
