okay, so my cousins are in this church (if you can call it that). and they ask their pastor for everything, if they can date, if they can have a job, almost anything.
and another thing is they can only read the king james version, and they go to the pastor to intrepret what they don't understand. it seems to be very inaccurate. my sister is living with them currently and she said that he put the "pastor" and "Church" where you would think God should be.
they praise this church like it is god. theyve followed the church 2 states away from the rest of the family, although we already knew that the church came first. but its just sad to see.
anyways, please pray for them. i want to see them delivered. (in case you were wondering, they were united Pentecostals, now i dunno, its whatever the pastor says now.)

Sounds really weird and definitely NOT Biblical! I'll pray for them. It's really sad to see how some people get their eyes on men and forget all about God.

This is a classic example of bondage. Christ died to set us free, from all of the bondage of the world.

That is sad to see. But you know what?! Just like Rev Ron said! Christ came to set us free! And Jesus even said in John 8:35-36, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free."
If your cousins were once freed, then they are free indeed! They have just been blinded, and have dug themselves a great big hole in the ground :/
But our God is greater! Our God is Stronger! And I believe God can make them a ladder to get outa that rut. Amen!

This is a sad case. I think it is wonderful to have spiritual mentors but asking the pastor permission for everything does sounds like control than guidance. I will pray for them.
