I Kissed Dating Goodbye is awesome! another book to read is, Every Young Mans Battle. They also have Every Young Womans Battle which is awesome!

I KISSED DATING GOODBYE IS AMAZING!! and i havent read the other 2 christina mentioned but ive heard of them and i hear theyre amazing too. :D i suppose we could mention other books, but i think these are all you need to know! (read i kissed dating goodbye first! lol ^^ )

I read "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" and didnt really agree with the author. I myself have what most would consider a radical approach to relationships, but extreme courtship isnt really what I agree with.
The book that really opened my eyes to pursuing a Godly relationship was from the book "When God Writes Your Love Story" by Eric and Leslie Ludy.
If youre more interested in still dating but doing it with a christian heart theres a great book by Justin Lookadoo and Hayley Morgan/DiMarco called "Dateable: Are You? Are They?". Its also an easy read with lots of doodling to make it more fun...
My relationship philosophy is greatly based on the ideas in these two books. Hope you enjoy!

idk if this helps any...but i think we as christians shouldnt be "recreational dating" or dating just for the fun of it in the first place. we need to be patient (including me) and wait for the guy or girl that the Lord has in place for us...you know?

on the opposite end of the spectrum i do like " I Gave Dating A Chance"
Ive been in a pure relationship with my girlfriend for 4 years in February...just waiting on a higher paying steady job to get married...i accept donations!
but yeah, thats a good book that i recommend.

jesse, why didnt you like I Kissed Dating Goodbye? Im really just asking. I hadnt heard of I Gave Dating a Chance until my mom mentioned it recently, but she said that it seemed like the person who wrote it had no idea what Josh Harris was talking about in his book. As if he just saw the title and thought it was just bashing dating all together. how would you respond to that? what was it about that book that you liked so much?

A smart man will read books for women to try and understand them and learn what they like! Its kinda like being a spy looking at secret files to try and understand the Women species! lol

1. "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" by Joshua Harris completely changed my mindset in regards to Christian relationships before marriage. I highly recommend this book because it contrasts wordly dating vs. godly courtship.
2. "The Ten Commandments of Dating" by Ben Young and Dr. Samuel Adams. This is the first book I read about Christian dating and it covers the basics. Good for new Christians.
3. "Every Mans Marriage" by Stephen Arterburn Fred Stoeker. Im not married (yet :) but the title sparked my curiousity and I read it. It opened my mind about what may lie ahead in a marriage! HEAVY stuff. I gave it to my Dad to read because I was really impressed. Also check out the popular "Every Mans Battle" series.
4. "I, Isaac, Take Thee, Rebekah" by Ravi Zacharias. This is my favorite book! Deals with one of my favorite romance stories in the Bible Genesis 24. Also, Ravi is one of my favorite preachers. I saw him in person last year at the University of Toronto! He is blessed with articulating words that are thought provoking but are also warm toward the heart. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Hi Sarah! You can find all of these books at your local Christian bookstore or Amazon.com (all are listed, I checked! :)
Except for "Every Mans Marriage" all these books are for guys AND gals. I suggest reading them all anyway, doesnt matter if your a gal :). Truth knowledge is power!
