Update on my Buddhist friend!/ Lesson learned!!! posted in General on 10/31/10 @ 7:29 PM by Reagan

So tonight I was talking to my friend, and we were having a regular dicussion about our day. And all of a sudden, he says "I want to be baptized". I then asked him why and I explained why we get baptized. And then he asked me question that I honestly had no idea how to answer. Then he is scared becuase he thinks someone is going to tell him he cant get baptized because he lives in a Buddhist temple. And I told him I honestly didnt know about that, because I dont. And then I asked him if he wanted to talk to my youth pastor on Wensday and he said yes please!!!! So on Wensday, he is going to talk to my youth pastor! And hes really excited!

Thanks for praying with me and keep continuing to pray! I really appreciate it.

"The effective pray of a righteous man can accomplish much."
The lesson I learned today is: Everything happens on Gods time, not on ours.

Cool, God is moving in his life.

Josi - 11/1/10 @ 5:39 PM

So he has already accepted Christ then?

Casey - 11/1/10 @ 6:14 PM

"Like!"

Reagan - 11/1/10 @ 7:08 PM

@Josi: I think he has. He knows that there is a God. He just has some questions that I cant answer. He understands that he has to get baptized, which is great because no one really explained it to him. Its a crazy situation.

We were just talking about Buddhism and Christianity and I asked him what he believed and this is his response:
well actually buddism has buddha as God but they just don't believe that buddha creates everything. buddha is the one who found the way to stop suffering and blahblahblah

BUT I KNOW I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST!!!!!!!

I honestly don't know the difference between Jesus and God

Josi - 11/4/10 @ 9:10 AM

Well if he hasn't accepted Christ, he shouldn't get baptized. Baptism should be a believers first step of obedience to God.

Mark - 11/4/10 @ 10:11 AM

Thats right Reagan! The Father draws all men unto Himself. We just have to die to ourselves and let Him produce the fruit. We are incapable to produce anything righteous! Amen!?! Jesus says that if a person gives Him the faith the size of a mustard seed, He will grow it into a faith that will move mountains! Praise the Lord!

Romans 10:9,10

Just something to think about according to baptism: Who took the theif off the cross to be water-emersed baptized, then put back on the cross to die?

Reagan - 11/4/10 @ 6:08 PM

@Josi: I know that. We have a plan. He knows what he believes. We just have to watch God work

Josi - 11/7/10 @ 8:03 PM
