There has been a lot of suicide in the Lgbt community. And As a gay christian I feel the need to say to all the people who come on this site whether they be Lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered/transexual, or even questioning there is hope! And suicide is never an option!
And to those who are straight who know people are have friends who are gay let them know that you care about their well being and encourage them to be themselves...Because honestly closests are for clothes.
And our acronym for G.A.Y is.
God.Accepts.You
So just making c28 aware.

There is hope for everyone, but living in such a lifestyle is sinful still.
Derrick - 10/7/10 @ 4:48 PM
the purpose of this thread was to bring awareness and to share ideas on how we can make sure less people commit suicide.
Not to argue in diffrent ideas in denomination. Because not every christian denomination believes homosexuality is wrong. And some people specially those at young ages who knew they were gay since they were little. And have been in the closet. Is usually because they are in an enviroment that says that they have a disease for being homosexual and it is a problem.

Christianity is not about denomination, it is about the preachings of Jesus and the Holy Word. And that disease is called sin, something everyone in the world has been infected with. Awareness for suicide should not be just focussed on a certain group of people, but to everyone.
daniel@seekGodnow.org - 10/8/10 @ 10:36 AM
those who do not accept Jesus *and* repent of this sinful lifestyle will go to hell, nazira. if you deny that, you deny the Bible.
of course the devil is out there with open arms for you, but he's going to hell too.
really, this is what God says: Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinfu nature with its passions and desires (galatians 5:24)
things got better for sinners 2,000 years ago when Jesus died for us. if we don't accept Him and repent of our sins, things will only get worse. if we do turn to Him and repent of our sins, then all we have to do is hold on tight, and things will always be good.
Japlace - 10/8/10 @ 11:24 AM
Great description post, Daniel.
I really like your last paragraph. We have to hold on tight and know that God is there.
KingsKid - 10/8/10 @ 11:49 AM
@Daniel Exactly!!
@Nazira Yes, God accepts you when you come to Him in repentance, BUT He does not accept your sin. If we are going to be Christians, we have to give up our sins. We likely won't have an easy time with this. In fact, most people don't! It is only through the Strength of God that we can resist the devil and His schemes.
joseBloodBought - 10/8/10 @ 2:56 PM
@Nazira
I have spoken with you several times so you know where I stand and you know where God stands yet you do not accept the truth. You allow your sinful nature and your desires to take precedence over truth. You know that i will always speak life, love, and truth into any and every one, and the truth is homosexuality is no lifestyle it is a deathstyle. Read 1 John 3:5-6. You can lie to yourself, but you cannot lie to Christ. If you are walking in Him than walk, but if you are walking in the flesh then it is vanity to believe that you are walking in Him and it would be totally in vain for me to have this opportunity to speak life into your situation and not. Walk in the light and shun the darkness.
PutHisBloodOnIt - 10/8/10 @ 5:14 PM
I have heard about all the suicides this saddens me.
Sarah - 10/8/10 @ 6:53 PM
Agree with the others.
Some "Christians" may say it's okay to be gay, but it's not. The Bible never changes. Never.
jake - 10/8/10 @ 8:58 PM
of course the devil is out there with open arms for you, but he's going to hell too.
Thats really good lol!
Im with them N... Lets be blunt, hate on me if you must, but why are there so many suicides? In my humble opinion and experiences they result from emptiness. Suicide is ALWAYS a fruit of a problem never the root. So the emptiness from trying to find love in the wrong places really tolls on people. Thats why heterosexual people who sleep around all the time and are misrepresenting love and trying to abuse it also feel awful about themselves.
You gotta look at the root of the problem, and that is that there is an active root of sin that separates God from fully permeating someone's heart. It doesnt mean, by any stretch of the imagination, that they arent loved by God... but they are not in a good spot and are not surrendered and obedient to Him.
Martin - 10/9/10 @ 11:13 AM
Nazira I mean no disrespect to you. Its true some Christians believe that being gay is not wrong just like there is Christians who believe there is no hell. But Satan is out there to deceive us and to change the word of God and create separate denominations. I only believe in Christ and to be like Christ. the word of God is very clear about this it doesn't matter whether your gay or a liar or a gossiper its the same its a sin and if we don't give it up to God and repent then we go to hell. God loves you and takes us the way we are but changes our sinful nature and transforms us to be like him. We must live by what the word says and not change it or what people say.
Derrick - 10/10/10 @ 12:05 PM
Ok I understand that we all here have opinions and opinions are one thing that are hard for people to change.
But I honestly without a doubt believe that homosexuality is not a sin.
But on another note we are not on this thread to talk about me.
This thread is about people who kill themselves because of what their religion says they are. I am not going to live a miserable life just because other human beings say I have to...How can you say to someone who is born black...that they are going to hell for something they can't control. how can you say to someone who is born with down syndrom that they are going to hell for something they can't control?
I know jose has explained to me that homosexuality is not what God has called us to...or intended in his master plan otherwise we would be two females or two males.
but Here is a good analogy that I think might make you guys change your mind.
here is an excerpt from a video called: Aren't we designed for heterosexuality?

"Yes,God made man and woman to be able to reproduce--absolutly. Now, that doesn't mean that though, that every man, and every woman, has to get married, and that every man, and every woman has to reproduce. Some people stay single, Paul the Apostle for instance. Some people get married but never have kids,Eitheir by choice, or because they're not able to have kids for some reason. And not everyone is attracted to the opposote sex. And that's not a choice eitheir. If your watching this video and your listening to what i am saying that means that your ears are functioning to enable you to hear me. NOW THATS WHAT GOD CREATED THEM FOR,RIGHT? WE CAN ALL AGREE, JUST AS MEN AND WOMAN WERE CREATED TO BE ABLE TO REPRODUCE,EARS WERE CREATED SO YOU CAN HEAR. BUT SOME PEOPLE ARE DEAF; IT DOESN'T MATTER. MAYBE THEY WERE BORN DEAF,MAYBE SOMETHING HAPPENED TO MAKE THEM DEAF--BUT FOR ME TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. I WOULD NEED TO USE SIGN LANGUAGE. OR I WOULD NEED TO USE SUBTITLES. NOW IMAGINE WITH ME FOR A MINUTE THAT YOUR DEAF,
(SILENCE)
IT'S A LOT EASIER WHEN YOU CAN HEAR ISN'T IT? WOULD YOU EVER CHOOSE TO BE DEAF? IM GUESSING YOU PROBABLY WOULDN'T, BUT SOME PEOPLE ARE. ITS THE ONLY LIFE THEY HAVE!SO THEY USE WHAT THEY CAN TO COMMUNICATE.THEY USE THEIR HANDS. NOW YOU MIGHT SAY, "OH WELL, THAT'S NOT WHAT YOUR HANDS WERE DESIGNED FOR! YOUR HANDS WEREN'T CREATED FOR THAT! YOUR EARS WERE CREATED FOR THAT! WELL, THEY DON'T GET THAT CHOICE.AND HEY! IF IT WORKS,AND IF IT ENABLES SOMEONE TO LIVE A HAPPY,HEALTHY LIFE, TO BE IN RELATIONSHIP WITH PEOPLE, ISN'T THAT A GOOD THING? WOULD YOU REALLY SAY ITS A SIN JUST BECAUSE ITS A SIN JUST BECAUSE ITS NOT HOW THINGS WERE DESIGNED TO WORK? tHERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS IN THIS WORLD THAT DON'T WORK THE WAY THEY WERE DESIGNED TO--WE LIVE IN A FALLEN WORLD AFTER ALL!" "

"How can you say to someone who is born black...that they are going to hell for something they can't control. how can you say to someone who is born with down syndrom that they are going to hell for something they can't control?"
Where in the scriptures does it say this?
Homosexuality is a sin because God says it is, it is of no one's opinions. It does not matter what you or any other Christian may "believe".
Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
But you were right about hope. There is hope.
1 Corinthians 6:11 - "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
I am guilty of breaking all of the commandments, everything you read in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, I am guilty of. The shadow of sin was on my head, because I was guilty of all that and more.
But PRAISE GOD, because I am saved from the sins of my past, ALL OF THEM. Does that mean I am living the perfect Christian life now?
No.
There are so many things that I am fighting with now, that I just come across as a very poor Christian, I feel.
I say this tell you that the fight is going to be a lifetime of struggle. The fight does not EVER stop. I don't care what anyone says, how sincere they are, how many cool, neat analogies they have, or firm in their belief they are...
If what they say goes against His Scriptures, run from it. It is not good. Run.
I am not trying to convince you that homosexuality is not the right way to go, frankly you can live out your life however you want to. I am telling you that homosexuality is sin. It is a SIN. This is not my opinion, read the scriptures, He is very blunt on how He sees homosexuality.
Sister, I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that you will open your heart to Him whenever you read this, and sincerely search yourself for TRUTH. Not opinion, not feelings, but for truth. And I pray that the Lord, in His willing wisdom, gives to you truth.
Amen.
I love you sister, don't think for a second that I don't. <3
the_underdog - 10/10/10 @ 5:55 PM
alright. i agree with her on one point. this isnt about her being a gay christian. its about her notifying us about suicides. which we SHOULD be concerned about.
i do agree with daniel and joshua, however, and strongly believe that. i know homosexuality is a choice. you can choose to ignore those feelings (dont we all want to lie, steal, cheat, be selfish? dont we all covet?) but its what we DO to ignore those sinful feelings and follow Christ.
i pray for their souls AND their salvation. i love everyone, no matter what. Thats what Christ calls me to do. I dont condone their sin however.
joseBloodBought - 10/11/10 @ 7:13 AM
The truth of it is this. The truth is not a blanket that pacifies a sinner. It is a sword that cuts us to the core. Either you will flee from the truth, accept a twist of the truth to sooth your conscience, or embrace the infallible truth.
Alyssa Faith Mark. Rep - 10/11/10 @ 8:52 AM
I agree with her notifying us of the suicides as well. This is very important. In recent months there have been 5 or more suicides. because someone is gay doesnt give you the right to bully and humiliate them. THINK before your SPEAK!!!
Japlace - 10/11/10 @ 9:42 AM
Complete agreement with werfromthelight's last post.
Derrick - 10/11/10 @ 11:31 AM
Thank you IvorylineGrrl you clearly understood the purpose of this thread.
"How can you say to someone who is born black...that they are going to hell for something they can't control. how can you say to someone who is born with down syndrom that they are going to hell for something they can't control?"
Where in the scriptures does it say this?
--I meant to say that when someone says your going to hell for being gay. It can be compared to saying the above things.
And suprisingly everyone had nothing to say with the analogy and video that was given above....obviously you people are soo set in your traditions and what you believe to be social taboo's that you can't even consider that your way of thinking could be wrong.
And People on this forum know we have played this "GAME"
Where I make a thread and then soo many other people follow it with judgements and bible scriptures...most times in love....but all of these times ignorence.
Most of you have very little understanding of what it is like to be gay.
And those of you who use to identify as Gay,Lesbian,Bisexual,or Transgendered went into that lifestyle because of sex, pleasure, or paryting.
In my case I have somewhat of a diffrent perspective.
I am not just physically attracted to women....I am also emotionally attracted to them as well.
The qoute that I live by is "Are you praying to the God that made man? Or the God that Man made?"
In my opinion since no one has commented on the above videos I have shared.
You all are scared that your opinions may be changed and you might in some instant not be swayed by the crowd but produce within yourself an opinion that is your own and not that of your culture, heritage, or even religion
And Again I will say the purpose of this thread is to make c28 aware of the bullying and the suicide.
Why didn't c28 make a shirt to make awareness of this?
And The only reason I am showing these videos is not that I may recive your approval but rather that you may see into a world most of you know little or absolutly nothing about...except what you been taught.
Many of you do not associate with Gay people on a level that is closer then the term "associate".
So I just wanted to shed some light on this.
So that maybe we could possibly come together to make sure one less suicide happens in the world....
Lex - 10/11/10 @ 11:53 AM
"And suprisingly everyone had nothing to say with the analogy and video that was given above....obviously you people are soo set in your traditions and what you believe to be social taboo's that you can't even consider that your way of thinking could be wrong."
The same thing can be said for you sister.
"Most of you have very little understanding of what it is like to be gay."
Sister, it is a choice, trust me.
"So that maybe we could possibly come together to make sure one less suicide happens in the world...."
I am with you 110% of the way, but telling them that being gay is 110% fine with God is a lie that may not destroy them physically, but eternally.
Derrick - 10/11/10 @ 12:03 PM
