that's not funny.

Cody - 10/5/10 @ 1:20 PM

Its actually not supposed to be. Its about a guy suing the devil, kind of like that one guy sued God or whatever and then the devil actually appears at the hearing. He is being sued for 8 trillion dollars because of the pain he has brought upon the world. It should be a really good movie, and just for you Daniel, he uses the Bible to defeat Satan in court.

daniel@seekGodnow.org - 10/5/10 @ 1:43 PM

really.. who is the judge in this court?

Cody - 10/5/10 @ 1:55 PM

So, this really is about your stand on our legal system, and not really about a movie that was made to mock Satan and to glorify our savior and Lord Jesus Christ... am I right?

Reagan - 10/5/10 @ 2:21 PM

I think it looks good

daniel@seekGodnow.org - 10/5/10 @ 2:24 PM

my stand on the legal system in america?

do you know the Bible's stand on it?

and do you know that we are supposed to respect satan and other celestial beings, not mock them?

Reagan - 10/5/10 @ 2:36 PM

I dont look at it as them mocking Satan. I picture it as them showing the world who Satan really is.

daniel@seekGodnow.org - 10/5/10 @ 2:42 PM

satan doesn't have a body like he apparently does in this movie...

the world doesn't know who satan really is..

Reagan - 10/5/10 @ 2:47 PM

I believe that Satan can posses people and take over their bodies. There is oppression and possession. Who is to say that Satan doesnt have a body? Satan, in human form, came to Jesus in the wilderness. I believe he could take the form of a human body at anytime. You are right, no one knows Satan, only God does. But I do believe that we can get a good picture of him through the Bible. But who is to say that Satan cant be human?

Reagan - 10/5/10 @ 2:54 PM

And when the Antichrist come....wont that be a human form of Satan?

CraigSnedeker - 10/5/10 @ 6:09 PM

I think this movie looks really good, I'd like to see it.

Cody - 10/5/10 @ 9:26 PM

Where in the bible does it say I should respect Satan?

And I just think its a good movie... and thanks for your arguments Reagen, you brought up really good points!

Reagan - 10/6/10 @ 5:03 AM

I'm just trying to prove a point

daniel@seekGodnow.org - 10/6/10 @ 9:02 AM

ok please, who is the judge in this case?

Stephanie - 10/6/10 @ 9:25 AM

I think you are missing the point of the movie daniel. Its not about satan being in human form or having a human judge or about the judges authority over the case. It is actually about the authority of God's word. In the preview satan's defense council brings accusations against the guy "suing satan". This is an emphasis on the fact that satan is the accuser of the brethren, because often, when we stand against satan, he will try to convince us how unworthy we all because of our sin. The whole point of the movie is to say that when this guy turned to God's Word for authority, God's word trumped everything. satan no longer had the upper hand because even though this guy, who was accusing satan, had sinned - God's word said that he was forgiven; he was not the one "on trial" any longer. It also points to the fact that satans "defense" was all about discrediting the guy suing him, making him look like a hypocrite because of his sin. satan always twists things and tries to make us pay attention to worldly perspectives and take the focus away from what God says. But when the authority of the Bible was the standard, the guy bringing the suit was innocent and satan could no longer stand - he had no power as an accuser because of the authority of God's word.

Cody - 10/6/10 @ 1:30 PM

...Go Stephanie! lol and yea, I'm not going to argue about it anymore. Nor will I ever respect Satan... lol but the basic point of the entire post is that this movie looks really good so I thought I would share it with you all. :)

CraigSnedeker - 10/6/10 @ 5:26 PM

The girlfriend... wife.. who ever she is (she said "I want you to win") was the wife in Facing the Giants. I like that :D

Teah - 10/6/10 @ 8:12 PM

I also think it looks like a pretty good movie.

@ stephanie, you know thats an awesome way to look at it and i so wouldn't have thought about it like that.... but i think your right lol :3

daniel@seekGodnow.org - 10/7/10 @ 4:14 PM

that's not what I meant. in the Bible, God teaches us that we should not have disputes with anyone - and by that, I mean legal disputes. it says that we christians, amongst ourselves, should not go before the unrighteous (really really, is the judge a christian or non-christian?) to have them be the judge to settle disputes. on the contrary, God says that it would be better to be wronged or cheated, than to go to the unrighteous(non-christians) for justice.

what is also wrong with this is how the movie mocks satan (that's what cody said at least). that is wrong because he is above us, as are other angels. anyone who has read the book of jude understands that. anyone who has not, does not understand. its really simply - we must not dare to bring accusations against the devil, as even michael the archangel did not dare to accuse him of blaspheme, but only said, "the Lord rebuke thee"

KingsKid - 10/7/10 @ 7:31 PM

@Daniel@seekgodnow.org Do you realize what you said? You said the devil is above us? He is not above us! The devil is totally under our feet when we become a child of God. We do not have to respect him worth a spit! If we respect him, he will have us doing all kinds of evil things. When you respect someone, don't you tend to want to obey them and do what they ask? And I have read the book of Jude. Eph.4:27 says," And do not give the devil a foothold." In my opinion, respecting the devil gives him a foothold in our lives. He is a fallen angel.
