It can be so easy to get caught up in the materialistic trappings of the commercialized celebration we call Christmas, but what if we lost everything in this world and we were left with only Christ? Would we still love, serve and worship Him even if all the "stuff" of this world was gone?

i think that if He was all we had left then it would be all the better to give Him all our praise and worship. i think i would still serve Him the same if not better without materialistic things. i mean, isnt that kinda what heavens gonna be like? theres not gonna be clothes, money, cars,...stuff. we will just be worshiping God.

I think that if He was all we had left, everything about loving, serving, and worshiping Him would be so much better. There wouldnt be the distractions of all the materialistic things we get caught up in.

-I think most people wouldnt. But I understand your point.

As a devout follower of Christ..Im honestly going to say that none of us can truly answer this question. It would be a completely different situation when and if this scenario actually came reality. Theres no possible way you can legitimately answer this question.

I have to agree with Shawn and Alpha. I dont doubt that some could but since such a situation hasnt become a reality,we cant accurately estimate our response.
But this is a good thing to keep your walk with Christ in check, especially at this time of year because we get so caught up with stuff. If stuff gets in your way in your walk,do everything you can to remove it and start refocusing your walk back to Him. In example,I had about thirty CDs that were becoming a hindrance and I got rid of all of them. As much as it hurt me then(which it still does),I know its worth it because its for Christ.

i agree with rachel and shawn, but i think that if you are a true devout Christian, then even if at first you get a little distrated, you would quickly come back to Christ in just complete worship and trust Him like you did when you HAD things. after all, He GAVE us those things.

Thats a supper fantastic question right there, when i first gave my life to Christ i use to always say " if heaven was just blank and it was just me and God? it would be enough for me because Hes the reason im complete
but again i cant fully answer this question because that hasnt happen, and lately i find my self becoming distracted with earthly matters that are out of my control( and some that are) but all the more the distraction causes me to realize my need for God and my desire for Him to bee my need
