My bio

In my 16 years on this earth, I've lived more life than many people twice my age. Why? Because Jesus has taken over control of my life! I've never once regretted giving my life over to him.
I love helping people. I've learned that organizing bake sales is one of my favorite things to do, who knows, maybe I'll go on to organizing much more!
I want to go to Ireland after graduation to become a counselor there. Something is pulling me to Ireland, I'm not sure why, or what's going to happen, but I've gotta trust!
I love youth events like YC, or youth retreats, or Soul'd, or Rock The River! It's so powerful seeing a bunch of teenagers come together in the name of Jesus, all united, giving him the power and praise he deserves!
I love meeting new people and making new friends, so say hi!

Minus the part about getting thrown into a lake! YIKES! BRRRR. How was the youth retreat?? Where did you go? I am glad to hear God is doing amazing things, becase OUR GODs NOT DEAD!!!! =] I had a fantastic weekend!!! I went to the winter jam tour in Portland,Oregon. I saw the newsboys,kutless,red,fireflight, matthew west. Wowza just an amazing time! 4 guys there with my group gave their hearts to Christ. They really just surrendered and allowed the Holy Spirit to enter! Praise Jesus! I will continue to pray for you Ariel. I have a big sheet of paper duct taped to my dash in my work truck, It has all the names of everyone I pray for. I have a bunch of C28ers on there!! God Bless you! Stay strong sister!!!

Kelsea Hey Ariel! I read your blog post! Im actually going through soemthing quite similar now, and I actually wrote a blog post kind of talking about something of the same thing. I spent the last half of the year at a missionary training school. Now Im back at home and I feel so.....I cant even explain it. While I was there, everything made so much sense. Everybody was focused on being a Christian and evangelizing and just showing the world Christs love. Now I come back to the world where people dont want to know Jesus. Where theyre happy living their life but they need Jesus so desperately. Its like parts of life seem very futile now. So I know what that feels like. As for the question about the other religions, we had alot of apologetics classes there, so I could give you an "apologetics" answer. But really, I think it comes down to you showing them the love of God. Another thing in that all other religions are people trying to work their way to God, Christianity is God meeting us where we are. Christianity is the only religion where there is any kind of relationship with God. And people of other religions, whether they want to admit it or not, are all looking for that same thing. They will be drawn by Christs light in you. It can be frustrating, but hang in there. Ill be praying for you!

Zombie Pickles You are so right. I think my last lesson went WAY better then my first. My youth pastor helped my write this one and I could see the message getting across to some of the ppl. I taught on how we need to perform for God instead of hte world. Based on the book "the Divine Dance" that you can get on this site. I really like it- you should read it some time... :) You are so right. God does have a tendency to do that. It is funny- huh?

Wayne Lion Of Judah haha the weather? well it rains a lot but we do get sunshine. it could last about two weeks and then rain for 4 days and then it could be like one day sunny and the evening might rain. depends on the Irish weather. its really sunny in summer time during school times but when school is over. here comes the rain >.< blah. today is like drizzly today. Wayne Lion Of Judah I am from Ireland and you love it here. its green and bright :) many counselors here who are not christians are hard to find here to help people who are struggling a lot and trying to find counselors here. there are many few. God must want u here to help many people. :) there are good counselors can help here but we need Christian counselors here because i feel they will understand even more. God Bless u :)

Zombie Pickles Awssome, thank you! Yeah, youre riht. I hope I do better. But Im happy with my grade now. Some people got way worse grades then me. The only thing is that someone in my class is like, "Im so happy I only missed one on my final and finished with 98 percent!" And that really ticked me off because she always has to announce that she got an A on EVERYTHING. Im relaly erxcited because Im teaching my youth group tonight about trusting what God is doing in your life. Im a little nervous though but not that nervous! I love the song. Fee, right?

Zombie Pickles I like that saying. :) Yeah I know. But I told him that our God is forgiving and gave us a way out and that he doesnt stay angry. Zues on the other hand zaps people with lightning. Sorry, forgot your in Canada. a B is between 80 and 90 percent. An A is anythign over 90. Yeah, I think yourew totally right about that with the big bang theory and stuff. Zombie Pickles I totally know what you mean. A lot of the time people take so many pictures tha It just pose the first way the comes to mind..... You hair is awesome in this pic now too. :) Nothing new exactly. I talked to this one kid who said he believed in the Greek Gods and stuff like that. It was really interesting. It was my friends meighbor and it was like the second time Ive talked to him, but the seriously thought Zues was just like our God and I was like, "No way, dude!" And so the conversation continued.......Im glad you feel Gods grace right now. I go through periods of that, you know? Like after I went to a youth retreat or something. But then the feeling kind of goes down. And when I read a certain scripture verse or something I get humbled all over again. I wish I didnt have to do it that way... Overall Im pretty good.... I have my finalos tomorrow in Spanish and Im crazy nervous! I have to read a childrens book in spanish and everything. But Im sure Ill do fine.

Sarah32 So are you planning to go to Ireland for a study abroad program? That would be fun!! I had wanted to do the same with Oxford, but in the end, it didnt make sense to go (they didnt offer psych courses for the program). But yes, Ireland is definitely a beautiful country...but with a lot of class divisions. As far as the Social Worker thing is concerned, you COULD major in Social Work, but it is different than a Psych major. It focuses less on theories, and talks quite a bit about the governments stipulations in the job (at least in the US). Social Workers are usually government paid here, which can give you more job security, but there are a lot of rules and regulations you must follow. You have more freedom as a regular counselor, less of the governments eyes watching you, but you dont generally have as many benefits (medical, dental, etc.)....especially if you have your own practice. You may wanna type in the different titles in google and see the differences for yourself. Itll probably be a LITTLE less confusing lol. Hopefully. ;) And yes, lol I was a blonde, and a redhead, and (accidentally) had black hair, and again accidentally had blue streaks in my hair. Ive had almost every color in my hair you can possibly imagine!! I could see from your pics that you love changing you hair color too. It can just be plain fun. :)

KingsKid Well, Irish food.... It is very down home with lots of potatoes! There are probably some weird things, though, like blood sausage or something like that. You know how some of the European countries have different traditional foods. How does Irish farmhouse Bake sound to you? That was one of the recipes we cooked. It was DELICIOUS! And potatoes pancakes are Irish, too.

Alex Thank you for your kind words I will keep that in mind he has always used that against me and once upon a time I listened and became bitter. I was hateful and mean and hated God for supposedly doing all of that to me and making my life hades. But I grew up and learned better. But now with my one true best friend gone for a few days (my wife) whom I havent been separated from for more than a day since we have been married, I just have all this negativity running through my head without her here. Im worried sick about her and I cant protect her where she is. I gave it all to God... so I thought but I am miserable. Sarah32 Youre right! I did a new search and found my "twin." Very strange... I dont know anyone outside my family with the last name, so we could possibly be related. Weird. Well, if you ever wanna add me as a friend, Im the older looking one of us two. My picture (as of now) is black and white. I know everything can get confusing with the steps you have to take to become a counselor (at least a certified one), but you dont have to worry about those steps too much until AFTER you receive your college degree. Does that make you feel better lol? Are you going to Ireland to study or for fun? I think that would be an awesome place to go!! So is it pretty set in stone that youll be going to the land of green?

Sarah32 WHAT?!?! TWO Sarah Linnerts?!?! Sorry, Im a little taken aback!! LOL I just did a search not too long ago, and I was the only Sarah Linnert....there was a Farrah Linnert who was my ex-sister- in -law...Do you think it could have been a Farrah? I used to follow with the facebook obsession too. If there was a questionnaire about being addicted to facebook, Im sure I would have scored a 100...as in a 100 addicted to the site lol. As far as being a counselor goes, its definitely a high ambition...But then I may be a *little* partial in saying that lol. Basically the steps to become a counselor are: get your college degree, preferably in psychology, but its not totally necessary. Then, go on for another few years to get your masters. You graduate then you go through what you need to for licensure. Ohhh, sounds so much more simple when I write it out lol!! I would check with your own districts laws. Unfortunately they make you go through a bunch of hoops to get licensed. To attain a license in counseling, you have to make sure you follow the laws from where your from....Like with me, I would have to make sure I was taking all the courses and tests required for where I live- Florida. I couldnt follow Colorados courses, because it wouldnt do anything for getting a license in Florida. And thats where everything gets confusing!! If its something you enjoy, you may want to shadow someone whos a counselor to get a feel for the profession. If its something you end up liking, and Gods leading you in that direction, then I would take some psych courses in college and major in the field of psychology....then I would worry about the nitty gritty details later lol. tyler hey i saw your topic on horror movies and i used to be the BIGGEST!! fan of horror movies i had action figures of horror movie killers lol posters and i had like every horror movie on dvd if it was a horror movie i had it but i started thinking theres no way this can be christian i mean killing with all the blood and guts and all the nude and most horror movies are about satan and i dont know about you but satan is my number one enemy so i started having nightmares about horror movies pretty bad im 16 and i was having nightmares lol but it was God trying to tell me its time to stop watching horror movies soo i did i threw away everything that had anything to do with horror movies i threw away over 400 bucks worth of dvds and posters and stuff and it felt good to do what was right because i knew it didnt glorify God and everything we do should glorify Jesus he died for our sins soo i had no problem throwing out all that crap i think horror movies are wrong but in the end its all up to you God bless you!!

Sarah32 Yes, picnik is awesome. :) Im also a big fan of lightshop. I keep getting the limited time trials to mess around with pictures, but of course, the trial runs out and then Im without. One of these days Ill break down and buy it lol. But it is amazing how creative you can be with just a simple computer program. Love it.:) I do have a facebook- you can just look up "Sarah Linnert." Rob Bell You ever wanna try and draw up something for my half sleeve I would love to see different versions of it.. I have a very creative mind, but I kinda lack in the drawing department heh.. I am 23, going to college for a Communications major right now, because I feel it is one of my skills sets talking and communicating with people and then after, I will hopefully go to seminary and into Youth Ministry.

PutHisBloodOnIt Yeah I do personal training on the side my main job I work is autobody, painting-customizing cars which is fun too! Half of my advice I give out to people I do for free and I give out alot of sessions for free I love helping people out especially those who are so worried about there weight I can see the pain in there eyes it makes me sad for them so I love helping them giving them as much advice and encouragemnent. I would love to start my own business within churches helping people get healthy and also working with teens and getting them ready for college sports. But to answer your question when it comes to working out you can be creative and dont have to be at a gym or run to get in shape, swimming, biking, roller blading, hiking, playing any kind of sports like volleyball or badmitton all can be beneficial, so you can take things you like to do and turn it into a workout.

PutHisBloodOnIt I dont mind at all its my job and I like it! Lol anyways. I cant breather through one of my nostrils either a lot of people have a problem similar to that. As it sounds mostly like you might be out of shape or you can have sports induced asthma which I like to call it I have it too. Its when any kind of physical activity can cause your airways to become constricted. if you do have asthma itwould feel like someone is stepping on your chest or you might start wheezing. I would contact your doctor and have him run some tests and maybe get you a rescue inhaler just incase or a inhaler like symbicort to prevent shortness of breath.

Rob Bell So far what I have planned is.. The Verse Proverbs 3:3 "Let Love and Faithfulness not leave you, but bind them around your neck and write them upon the tablet of your heart." starting on my upper left back and going across my shoulders and then over my right shoulder and across my chest to symbolize binding it around my neck and then maybe the end of verse and when it says Proverbs 3:3 I will have it curve into a shape of a heart.. not the cheesy Valentines shape, but a real heart shape. On my left arms I am gonna get something to remember my birth mom and I am think like two hands reaching to each other, one looking like my mothers and the other with a hole in it and a drop of blood going down the palm and underneath saying something like "In the hands of her father". Havent decided exactly what it will say though. and then last, but certainly not least is my half sleeve on my write arm I spent a year thinking what I wanted in it.. It will be the three crosses on the mount, but the two side ones are small off in the distance and the one in the middle Jesus was on will be large and up from and around the top base of the cross the crown of thorns with be hanging like a necklace around it and Purple Roses blooming out of some of the thorns to represent Royalty and beauty and to the edge of some of the pedals red drops of blood trickling down to show his blood and passion. Then from behind the cross Arched angel wings will be coming out, but bound around by thorny vines and when the vines get to the end of the wings the vines go down into the ground. But there is dirt coming up and vines starting to tear, like the wings are ripping them out and an angel is being set free. Underneath the mount it will say "Amazing Love." I am not sure if I want it in just text or if I want his blood or something else to spell it out.. What do you think?

KingsKid Oh, wow! i think those animals could have used some discipline! yes, I have lots of crazy animal stories. This past summer our goats were getting out constantly. my dad kapt putting up fence and they kept finding the palce where he hadn`t put up fence. let me tell you....you can`t try to outsmart goats. i was always running in to the one field where they weren`t supposed to be and getting them out of there. They enjoyed our frustration I think!

It stands for Discipleship Training School and is the 5-month long course with 3 months of classes and two months of outreach.

KingsKid Yeah, I have lots of pets! Goats are soooo sute, bratty, and sweet at the same time, eh? I actually have quite a few goats and they are so lovable. Sounds like you really had a time of it with those dogs at camp! :) Haha! Yeah, trucks are....just nicer than cars and they are tougher and you can go in more "dangerous" places with them. Such as puddles!

Vanessa I have a friend who is at YWAM right now and one friend that did it a couple years ago, and they both highly recommend it. That course does sound interesting! That is one of the main reasons I want to go to YWAM, in the standard DTS they spend a whole week learning how to hear Gods voice and differentiate between Gods will and yours! Plus just having a closer relationship with him :)

KingsKid Well, yes! I live on a farm so there are lots of animals and pets around here. My most special pet is my dog, Logan. He is a 1 yr. old Rotti/Blue Heeler. He is such a sweetie! Your cat sounds very sweet, too. Oh, cool! I don`t have a vehicle yet. I want to get a truck. So far though I don`t really need a vehicle, so that`s ok. It would just be depreciating anyways!

PutHisBloodOnIt Well to tell you the truth everyday is a struggle to get into "tune" with God. I learned alot from reading about paul and early christians in the bible and if you pay attention to their life they often endured struggle and hard times but what you always see is them always praying what Gods will be done. I use to think that I automatically had a right to live and have God serve me and do things for me until I realized its the oppositte way around we are put here to serve God to make him happy even if its against our will and what we want. We can either live two ways and thats live for ourselves looking for peace and happiness in other people and posessions on earth or we can live for God where peace can never be taken away and happiness is not found in things of this earth. My willingness to try and follow Gods will come the hard way and that was living life for myself and experiencing living life the wrong way.

Vanessa Ive travelled to every Central American country except Panama, 6 Canadian provinces/territories, and all of West Coast US. I really want to go to South America, Australia, Sweden, and Germany. Well, I want to do a short-term missions trip, probably with YWAM because I want to do a DTS, which includes outreach, but then Id like to go to school to eventually work in athletic therapy. Im still waiting on Gods direction on that though. My problem is, like I said, that I like trying new things so there are a ton of things I would love to do for work, and it seems really kind of boring to me to go to university for four years and then spend my whole life doing the same thing, so I dunno.
