My bio

Hi, Im Stacy. Im in college right now, and Im still waiting for God to show me what he wants me to do with my life. Im studying Art Therapy, or to be more precise, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Art. I have lots of doubts about life, but my One Hope in Christ makes it ok. I was practically born and raised in the church, yet I still have a bit of work to do in order to have a life that is pleasing and holy to Him.

Favorite Scripture

"Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the Lord, who makes you holy." Leviticus 20: 7-8

Ive been really stuggeling lately as it is, financially, and to make matters worse, I just lost my job last night. Please pray for me to see what plans God has for me. In a way losing my job was kind of an answered prayer, because I was just asking God just yesterday if I should keep working there or not, and He sure answered that one quickly. So please pray that I find a new job quickly, or that whatever I do is His will.

Please pray for a thirteen year old boy in my church named Adrian. Adrian has multiple brain tumors among many other serious health issues. The doctors tell his family there is nothing else they can do for him. But we know that God is greater than any doctor, so please pray for his strength and healing, and for his family. Thank you.

Please pray for me financially. Ive been struggling to get all the bills paid and to keep groceries in the pantry as it is and today I got the bill from a trip I had to make to the ER last month. Im going to have to get a second job to get it paid off. Father, I put this into your hands and I trust that you will provide. Thanks

Not yet! Andrew has to get more treatments, but God knows... And to Him alone we have to give all the honor and thanks! He is sooo good!
Original Prayer Request (posted 3 Years Ago):
Please pray for Andrew. He is my brother in law and last week he went to the ER with chest pains and difficulty breathing and they found a mass the size of a plum near his heart. They found out that it is cancer and he recently started chemo. The type of cancer he has has a 90% chance of being cured. Andrew and my sister have two girls, an 18 mo and a 3 mo. Andrew is the only one working while my sister finishes school. They have no health insurance. Thank you for your prayers.

how much music do you have? I have 2,528 songs. 70%-80% was free tunes (legal) *<=D
I have 1333, on my iTunes, all purchased over a period of four years. This probably counts the first season of Glee, and whatever has aired of the second season of Glee as well.

I LOVE Christmas time! I love the atmosphere, the spirit of giving, the snowball fights, hot chocolate with tons of marshmallows and time with family. But my most favorite thing about Christmas is the music. It really sets the atmosphere. It always has that special way of reminding me what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. Christ's birth and God's love for us. So tell me what your favorite Christmas music is, Id love to here! My most favorite song is "I Celebrate the Day" by Relient K.
That's still a pretty large choir! I wish you the best of luck!

It's easy to give without love. But it's absolutely impossible to love without giving. Love takes trust and dependability. It's something that cannot be seen but is felt such as any other emotion. Today in church I felt my love for Jesus grow and couldn't help but that feeling of generosity grow on me. Anyone else know what I mean? It's like you can't have 1 without the other and there has been times in this life when I gave just to give.. But when I gave whole-heartedly I felt as if there's no limit... as if I got a new sense of pleasure from watching the happiness of others instead of anything centering me. That's the power of god. That's what I'd like to refer to as "giving god the glory" :)
Corinthians 9:7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. The version I learned says "....For the Lord loves a giver with a cheerful heart" I don't know how I feel about your statement that Love takes trust and dependability. God loves us unconditionally. He loves us so much that he gives us the choice to love him back. If his love required our trust and dependability I'd be in a sorry mess. We are to be like God, and like him I think we should learn to love unconditionally as well. I don't trust well, and I'm not very dependable at times, but I think that's what makes us stand out so much as Christians. We have the ability to love and to respect without having to receive it first. But yes, I agree, I love giving... whether it's a plate a cookies, a smile, or a kind word of encouragement. It puts a smile on my heart. :)

I was just wondering what all your thoughts are on this topic. I know a lot of people don't believe the baptism of the Holy Sprit is for today. This is definitely NOT true! The Bible says "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever." Heb. 13:8 Also Acts 2:14-18 is another passage to read. Acts 2:38-39 says that we will recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit after we have become believers. So what are your thoughts and beliefs?
If that were true (that being baptized is not relative in today's time)than why are we still taking communion? We still take the cup to symbolize Christ's blood and the bread to symbolize his body to remember what He has done for us, and I think it is the same reason that we are baptized. It is to show that we are physically washed by the blood, and we do it in a social setting (just like communion) so that we may be a community of Christians that hold one another accountable. They both hold the same importance to me.

I think that c28 needs to come out with more dress clothing for men and woman. Clothes I can wear to work and Church in. I love the t-shirts and jeans but would like to see dress pants and shirts, a blazer jacket, and ties. I know I would buy.
I think it's a nice thought, and I could see them making a suit jacket with NOTW printed in an awesome design on it, but, I really can't see a professional wearing that to work. I'm not sure what an employer would think of it ether. I think ties would be awesome for guys, but I think jewelry kind of covers it for the ladies.

If anybody else has cool quotes feel free to post them :) "?If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." - C.S. Lewis ^Awesome!

So, A few nights ago, I went to a pumpkin carving thing w/ my family and my cousin and her friend was there. Now, I dont wear of makeup, and when I do, it is very little. Aparrently, I'm realy weird because I live in 2010 and dont' wear makeup everyday.(My cousin and her friend and me and waaayyy to young to be wearing makeup all the time.) I told my cousin's friend that. She looked at my like, "Weirdo." Anyway, I also don't even have anyting to do w/ Ke$ha or Lady GaGa. Well, that girl totally ignored me that night because I said I feel beautiful w/out makeup and don't wear it everyday What do you guys do that brings the "Your a freak" look upon you? I was just wondering.
I think that's Awesome that you stuck up for yourself, and I really hope you don't lets yourself be disconcerted by it. People think I'm weird because I can be kind of a nerd, and I'm very passionate about what I involve myself in. But don't let it get you down! Be proud! Having Christian morals is definitely something you shouldn't be ashamed about. Who knows, you may have just witnessed to them without knowing it. Good Luck hun!
