Hi, Im Steph. Im 24. I grew up in a Christian home and dont remember the day I got saved - I was about 5 years old at the time. I know that God is my keeper He allowed me to go through life in a good family, He protected me from getting involved in a lot of things that could have been detrimental. He has kept me through recent heart ache and gave me the strength to surrender the things I held dear. He has graciously taken away the things I thought I wanted and has been teaching me to trust Him. God is good and even when I dont see, I still believe.

StephanieNot sure what kinds of OCD I have...but its bad. I mean, I handle it okay, but its only by Gods grace. Well, the Trinity is not something that we can comprehend here on earth. God is one God. He is 3 in one. Its not something easy to even start to explain because we cannot understand it. But, The Son is fully God, the Holy Spirit is fully God, and the Father is fully God, They are One, but they are distinct. As far as the book you mentioned, I have a hard time with that book. The reason being that it contradicts the Bible in that the Bible says that no one has seen God - the little boy claims to have died and actually gone to heaven and then come back to life, the Bible does not support this claim at all. I wish I had more time, but I have to go to bed....I have a lot more to say about the Trinity and that book, but I will have to wait to reply fully. (sorry :/) I will reply fully soon though, lol - Gah, sometimes working full time has its bad side (like a bed time :P )

Sarah32It does look like a love addiction issue.:( I know it has to be hard to see your brother go through that, Stephanie. It hurts to see someone you love who is not only in pain, but causing the pain to himself. Imagine how God must feel!! LOL My brother had the same situation going on which is why I responded to your post long ago. He eventually got married to the woman (a mistake would be an understatement to this union!) and eventually it ended in divorce. She went out on him, and was the one who filed for divorce, wanting to be with a different man. Its a completely different situation, yes, but I just wanted to let you know I can empathize with a brother who is in a toxic relationship!! It stinks majorly!!! I know you feel helpless, Stephanie. It feels like a hopeless situation. But Im praying the Holy Spirit will wake up your love blind brother and cause him to see! He has the Spirit of God in Him which can give you a cause to hope. God always goes after His lost sheep.<3 .....Yet, sometimes it takes longer than we think for God to bring them back into the fold!! As far as my health goes, I was pretty much disabled before-couldnt even make up my own bed, so Im getting closer to health. Its just taking awhile...as everything in life does!! And Stephanie, dont EVER worry about venting. I can take it.;)

Sarah32Okay, I knew something was a little different with your hair. Its the side bang, right? It looks good! Haha, and by butchered I mean butchered in every sense of the word lol!! I was so sick this past fall that I couldnt go out of the house, soooo I begged my mom to cut it b/c my illness was making my internal thermostat fluctuate too much. (I felt EXTREMELY hot even though it was on the cooler side, and I wanted my hair to feel less like a blanket on top of my head lol.) Well...she cut it alright. Inches of hair fell to the floor and a jagged mane was left in its place! Some pieces were inches longer than the other half of my head. It definitely looked ridic! Its all evened out with PROPER layers now...but Im still waiting for the really long hair to come back to me lol. Enough about hair, I was wondering how your brother and his situation was going. Are you seeing any hope there? Im praying its getting better, Stephanie.<3

JayBhey, my names jay and I just saw your note on accountability and listening to sinful music. I struggle with this alot. I love music and i listen to music for the musical part of the songs as well. I love to hear the different guitar parts and harmonies and stuff. What started to happen without me even knowing was that I wasnt even listening to the words anymore. I go to a Christian college and one day I was listening to some music on my itunes on my computer and my roommate was like "dude, what song is that?" and it was crazy, it was like a blanket was lifted from my eyes. I realized that the song I was listening to was about something horrible, blatantly and i didnt even realize it. Since then I have focused my attention more on Christian music. Its alot more fulfilling and enjoyable to me now. I still listen to secular music, but not nearly as much as I used to. Tell me about your problems with this

KingsKidWell, not muchll happen here, I dont think. Of course, anything can change! My moms parents have passed away so no one gets together on that side much anymore. On my dads side....my grandparents live across the road from us! Which is a real blessing. I get to see them several times a week. So we might go see them on Christmas Day or maybe my aunt will come here on Boxing Day and well get together at Grandmas. It was wonderful to hear how God has been helping you with your commitment! Hi. I have been really stressed recently. I am trying to trust God with situations in my life but I just keep staying anxious and panic like. I feel like God is telling me He will be doing something in the life of someone I love and I am just having trouble trusting that He will; mainly because I cant see it. Well, I know that Gods ways are not our ways, but I just feel really nervous about what god is going to do. Last time I was in a situation like this, god spoke very clearly that He wanted me to move the opposite direction than I feel He is telling me to this time around and I think that is what is scaring me. Same situation, but this time I feel like God is telling me to walk in the path He told me to avoid last time around. So practically I look at it an go "Okay God, but I cant see how this will work because my past experience has taught me otherwise." I just need prayer for peace and to be able to trust God and to not feel the need to know waht is going to happen next. I need God to move in this situation, or at least to have peace until and then when He does. I could also use prayer for the other person involved that God would speak truth to both of us and Wisdom and peace to both of us. Thanks.
This may seem trivial, but Im really stressed so I figured I would ask for prayer. I have a big midterm coming up on Thursday. I feel like no matter how long I study, I will never be able to do well on this particular exam. I have all day tomorrow to continue studying. I need prayer for release from a sin stronghold in my life. I feel captive to this particular sin and I dont know what to do. It is something that I have been dealing with my entire life, and I feel like it is defeating me. The struggle has been a lot stronger and failure on my part has been the result. I know that God says that He will never give us more than we can handle, but when I am facing temptation I dont feel strong enough to resist. Please pray that this stronghold would be broken in my life and that the sin would no longer keep me from where I need to be. I feel separate from God because I cant break the sin in this area of my life. Please pray.

im an English police officer and a faithful christian but i have to hide my faith and personal opinion i attend protests and demonstrations as a riot officer and lately regarding religious issues here i have had to arrest people whom i share the same beliefs with please help me to cope
Well, you are not arresting people for their beliefs, you are arresting them because they are failing to obey civil laws that provide safety to the public. If they are breaking ordinances and not assembling peacefully, or they are trespassing, than you are doing your job and it really has nothing to do with the subject of the protests and riots. Would you take the same action if the protest was not religious, but the rest of the circumstances were the same? If so, than you need not feel guilty about it. If not, than you need to decide if you can do your job and keep the integrity of your faith.
I work in the courts system and we have to keep religious and political opinions to ourselves at work and even on Facebook im not allowed to talk politics ( I mean I can, but if someone sees and reports it, I could lose my job). At work, I just live and act with integrity to the best of my ability. If I'm talking with a co-worker, I relay things as my personal opinion/viewpoint and then I let my actions do the rest of the talking.
So ya Ive been seeing patterns on this site, when it comes to topic making. Ill make a sincere topic asking for advice, help, "opinions" Etc an it'll sit here for DAYS an no comments. Yet one person will make a topic saying its their BirthDay an within mins it gets AT LEAST 30 replys. Guess Iam taking my postings elsewhere to another fourm. Peoples true colors fly high on this site.

Okay, so...basically since my boyfriend and I started dating people have been gossiping about us. Before our relationship was official, my former pastor came up with this idea that we were sleeping together; we've been "engaged" several times since spring, got married over the holidays and again today!
Any suggestions on how to handle gossip? Aside from the purity ring on my left ring finger there is no reason for any of the gossip (and the fact that it's a serious relationship, but what of that?) How do you think Jesus would handle others gossiping about Him?
It's not that I hate it--I actually find it amusing--but it gets boring after a while, and my family throws a fit every time they hear that we're getting married. :P

Yeah, I didn't really make any resolutions either. Though there are changes I would like to make. Namely to work out more and make healthier food choices. But making resolutions never seems to work out if its based on the time of the year and not an actual desire for change. So instead of calling them resolutions, its really more like I looked at some things that I legitimately wanted to change/make better/ do different and I hope to stay determined to take action in those areas :)

Love her the way Christ loved the church. Become a servant to her. Christ came not to be served but to serve. Build a foundation on Christ and His word. Is your wife a believer? If so, (and also if not) I would say that you suggest doing a Bible study together, and then you take the lead in initiating and leading it. I would also suggest marriage counseling. You need to be completely open and honest with your counselor about how the relationship started and the issues you are having now. I would strongly suggest Christian marriage counseling as well as possibly considering maybe someone who is a leader in your church?
Hi, so here's the deal. I had a purity ring, then had hard times and years, and decided to "not follow its meaning" and took it off, and lost the ring shortly after. I came back to my senses and beleifs not that long ago. I felt guilt, shame etc., which with the incredible help of a wonderful youth leader, I have overcomed. Now my mother gave me her 10th aniversary ring(since it doesn't fit anymore). I want to wear it as a purity ring, since I know from now on, I will be keeping myself pure(emotionally and physically) before marriage, but when christians notices it they start talking bout it and thei stories and all, and it kind of feel akwars since I wear it, but have not kept myself pure before marriage two years ago until this summer...what should I do???
We all make mistakes. God is forgiving and He loves us and is ultimately concerned with our hearts. Yes, sin is horrible and shameful, but Christ died for us and washed our sins from us. Isaiah 1:18 says: "“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool." The ring isn't a symbol of your status as a virgin or not, it is a symbol of your heart and commitment that you make from this day forward. I think that if the ring reflects your commitment than you should wear it proudly!

Hey guys, if you could vote for me on this site, I would really appreciate it. My pastor's wife came up to me, and convinced me to be apart of this competition. I think it's slightly rigged because I had taken better photos for them, but they chose one of me looking deranged- and not like myself at all. Interesting.
