I am sure we have all heard of the war in Iraq. American and Canadian troops have been dying, and fighting over seas for several years. I was just thinking is it right to support our governments on this? Are we doing any good over there? I am concerned for all the men who are fighting over there, they serve our countries with honour, but is there a good Christian reason to be? I fully support all our troops. But I am not to sure if I should support the cause anymore. Whats your take?
Sorry if I affended you Jake, that was not the intent. I support you, keep up the good fight! And please stay safe! Well I will pray that all of the soldiers stay safe!

So something you wish you could do for a living or something you are going to do.....etc.
I would direct movies, we lack good movies in this world. Or I would be an abstract artist.

I believe it is important to show Christs love to everyone! The people who need it the most are the lost not the saved! If we are only friends to Christians then how will we ever reach anybody? I dont agree with thier bad habits or their certain beliefs, and I make sure I avoid bad influences e.g. I dont hang out with them. But when we are working together I make sure I listen and understand. I hardly mention God, I dont have too. They feel His love for them through my actions, not my words! If they are his they will come around on their own. All I do is gently plant the seeds of love. I thought this would make an interesting descusion,
Amen!

hey i was just wondering who reads their bible everyday.Id be one to admit that i dont read my bible everday but i should because it will help me in my walk with Christ.
I read every so often, I agree with "phboi" its important to meditate on what we read. I also believe we should let the Holy Spirit guide us on what we read. He knows better than anyone what we need to hear. And craming the Bible down our throats isnt a good idea either because than it becomes like homework, something we have to do "or else" if you know what I mean. Those are my thoughts anyways.

Many of us have a heart for the lost. So we get out of our comfort zones and befriend them. We reason with them. We love them. We joke with them, laugh & cry with them. And before we know it, they are such a part of our lives that we don’t even see what we are busy with. Jesus mingled with sinners – sure. But they all repented after just spending time in His presence. (Examples: Zacchaeus repented and changed his ways – Luke 19. The sinner on the cross next to Jesus believed in Him and rebuked the other criminal – Luke 23. The woman at the well believed Him – John 4) The rest of the sinners He either…. -rebuked, (“Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?” (Matt. 23:33)) OR -freed from demons (Then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.(Mark 1:34)) OR -ignored…(the unrepentant sinner on the cross, those that mocked him, etc.) This was very interesting and not all of it, but what do yall think?

I cant go anywhere with out being glared at by older women. I dress appropiate but it seems no matter what I do they just want to scowl at me. I try smileing at them but that doesnt help. I cant help but wonder if it is the happiness Jesus gives me that they are scowling at.
Thanks guys its so nice to have people to talk to! I think now that maybe its because i travel with my dad a lot, we are really close. I think they may be jumping to conclusions. Dont get me wrong I have no ellusions, I dress modestly. Maybe I had Jam on my cheeks! Ha Ha !

so its a trend not only on here, but in Christianity in general, to wag ones finger at someone who has differing beliefs than oneself. now im definitely not a typical Christian. i love nature and revere it [it is Gods creation after all. does that mean i worship it? of course not! but it should still be respected], i believe in natural medicine, im liberal [i would have voted for Obama if i had been old enough. sue me], im extremely open minded, and one of my best friends is a Wiccan. if i dont agree with someones behaviour or beliefs, I DONT SAY ANYTHING! i dont mock them [even behind their backs]. i ACCEPT them. ive been chastised so many times [not on here. people on here are very kind] just because i listen almost exclusively to non-Christian music, most of my friends arent Christian, my beliefs are apparently pagan to some [since when has a reverence of Gods creation been non-Christian?!], i know hardly any Bible verses, and im open minded. i just want to say that being a Christian means you have a responsibility to love people. LOVE. who cares if someones atheist, Bhuddist, Hindu, pagan, Muslim, Jewish, or even a different Christian denomination. love them no matter what, even if they hate you. dont put them down. accept them. Jesus taught us to do that, yet i see that the majority of Christians dont. they sit on high horses and condemn others [again, NOT on here]. is that Christ-like? not to me. so please, be kind and accepting no matter who it is.
I totally love nature too. I belive it is mans(humankinds)responsibility to take care of it. As for snobby wanna-be Christians(cause they are not real christians if they are like that) I have had a life full of them. In fact in my area we dont go to churh because thats whats in them. I have very few freinds, my coworkers are as wourldliy as ever but I treat them with love and respect as Jesus would want me too. I dont get that treatment back but that is not what the Christian walk is about. We love when others hate, and we lay down when others walk over.
