c mfor the record, i have not had professional training, never went to school for graphic design or art, i'm self-taught. i've already expressed that i may come off rude at times, but thanks for the advice. i also disagree with what you said about the site having younger people testing the waters. that should not be what the competition aspect of this site is for. i don't enter 3d animation contests, because i have very very little experience with 3d. and if i wanted to enter one, i would only do so after being very comfortable with different 3d programs, trends, etc. i would only enter if i thought i had a chance at winning. all i'm saying, is that entering this contest is not the best way for beginners to learn. using the forums for critiques is one way, taking classes, etc, but not entering a competition. that is- if this competition is supposed to be taken seriously. otherwise, i suppose you are right.

DaeHeya - I saw your comment to Corey. He does come off kinda 'strong' and I think your comment was well worded.
I myself look at these designs as an artist, everyone has a different style (good, bad, indifferent) so yeah if I don't have anything encouraging to say - I keep it to myself lol
Also - I've found threadless to be a good place for nice & honest feedback. I feel like a lot of people on here are out to 'prove' themselves as masters of their trade. I don't want to prove anything just share some designs that would otherwise sit in a folder after I did them! hehe
take care :)
