My name is Matt I''''m 22 years old and currently deployed to Iraq. I was born and raised in Missouri and was taught that no matter what life throws me God always has a plan. His plan for me right now is to fight for the freedom of my country and all of my brothers and sisters. Ever since i had joined the Army in 2006 I really strayed away from God. I called and spoke with a lifelong family friend and associate pastor of my home church and he spoke a word over me that broke me down inside. Tonight on the 9th of June I gave my heart back to Jesus and I''''m finally heading in the direction I always should have been. I have a beautiful baby boy named Kaiden who is 2 years old and I can''''t wait to teach him of the miracles of our savior!

So here is my latest prayer request. I am going through a divorce right now well sorta. Im trying to get this divorce filed and get everything in order but my funds are holding me back. Every time i seem to set a little bit aside to pay the lawyer something else comes up that needs to be taken care of right away and the money I had dwindles away. The attorney is willing to work with me but he wont start any of the process unless I can come up with the 2500 retainer fee. Please pray that God will provide this money for me. Or even provide a way to have this all taken care of. I thank God for all of my brothers and sisters I have here and without the support and the prayers from all of you things wouldnt be the same.. I love you guys!
God prevailed once again! My mother in law walked right into that courtroom with the confidence and the peace of the Lords mercy and the Judge through the case out the window! Yet another battle won!

She is a woman of God and is being attacked by the enemy hardcore. Please be in agreement with me that the enemy will not be victorious here!

I am currently in Iraq and am going through a really nasty divorce with my spouse who is not a Christian. We have a two year old son and my heart breaks knowing that this is all affecting him as well. Tonight after speaking with a life long family friend and the Associate pastor of my home church I gave my heart back to the Lord. I would ask prayer for my situation with the divorce and also spiritual guidance. I would also like prayer for my faith to be strengthened with everything I do from here on out! Please pray for me!
So it's been a while since my last post... I am finally getting to come home from Iraq after a Year stuck out here. I want to take a moment and share something with you all. A few days ago a really close friend of mine was walking into work in Kansas. Outside her job there is a city park that she strolls through every morning and brings this man a cup of coffee. Richard is his name and he is homeless. Three years ago Richard lost his wife and ten month old son to a drunk driver. After his loss he suffered mental instability due to the grief and depression of losing the only family he had.Shortly after the accident he lost his job, his house and his car due to his state of being at the time. Forced to sleep on the streets he took shelter in a nearby city park. One morning as my friend was giving him his cup of coffee she dropped her purse. Rushing to pickup the spilled contents of the bag she had no noticed that a 100 dollar bill had slipped out and was blown into a nearby bush. Noticing the money Richard walked over and picked up the bill and put it in his pocket for my friend had all ready rushed off to work. The next morning when she came by to give him his coffee Richard reached into his pocket and pulled out her $100 bill. He had picked it up and instead of spending it on food or anything else he had the integrity to give it back to her. How many of us can say that we would do the same. If you found money on the street would you hold onto it until you found who it belonged to. Would you lack the courage to step out of your comfort zone and reach out to someone that needs it. I encourage all of my brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for Rich. I'm not sure if he knows the lord, but I ask that he may come to know Christ.
Winter is coming and if any of you know about the winters in the Midwest the can be very harsh. I am donating a lot of my clothes to this guy and my friend is putting him up in her guest house. I ask all of you to look into your hearts and ask yourselves if you have the courage and compassion to help this man. More importantly ask God to show you how to reach out to this man. Ok so I am a guy of many tattoos. I have a full sleeve on my right arm and a cross with my last name in the middle on the left, and a no regrets tattoo on my back between my shoulder blades. Ok take this one in.... What happens when a sinner of all his life who is tattooed up with offensive things such as naked women or drug or even gang symbols comes to the Lord and commits himself wholeheartedly that his sins matter anymore? Will his sins not be washed away by the blood of the lamb? Will his transgressions not be forgiven with repentance? What if when I pass and Im walking with the Lord that he has washed all my sins away and the ink is gone? The bible says by my stripes you are healed, why cant this work for everything? A man who is mutilated in a car accident or a woman was severely burned in a house fire once they die and walk with Jesus they will not have an impurity on them..... Think about that.. We are all destined to face judgement before the Lord shouldnt we be more concerned about asking the Lord what can I do for you today then worrying about what we did or didnt do yesterday? Just recently my hometown churchs associate pastor gave me a word that I needed to hear. He said before anything else matters in this life you need to find who you are in the Lord. Yes with all of my ink and everything else I am still a lamb of God, a child of his glorious kingdom. He will love me for eternity and will never forsake me.
