Hey guys, so God has really been laying on my heart to stop listening to non-Christian music. For a while I was ignoring it, but with all the other stuff that God is doing in my life and with my struggling with doubts and stuff, I really feel like the non-Christian music is really hindering my growth. How can I draw near to God when Im constantly feeding my craving of the world by listening to music that glorifies sin? I know it may seem dumb to ask for accountability for this, but it wont be easy for me to totally cut it out. I currently listen at least 6 hours a week (when Im driving to and from school, I normally just point the radio on). So yeah, anywho, can you guys keep me accountable (and pray that I continue in this)? Thanks :) Also, if anybody else has anything that they need accountability for, feel free to post here. :)

Stephanie, God bless you for recognizing His divine call to your heart! It may be a little bit of a struggle for awhile, but believe me, eventually it will take ahold of you like the warm sun. At least tune most of your radio stations to Christian music stations and you will soon see how the other music no longer becomes appealing. I could say so much more to help purify your heart for this but I trust that Our Lord will do it better! I now only carry all christian cd's in my vehicles and only listen to those same stations.
