I am a servant of the Most High Lord and He has decided that I become a marine. So here I am, taking the gospel to the corps. I was saved at five years old and I have been a christian my whole life. But I caught on fire the beginning of my senior year and really want to see a revival spark in my country! God has certainly used the corps to break me down and crush any rebellion in me. He has shown me that the vain plans of man do not and cannot balance against the great and wonderful things He has for us!

MarvinThat surely did help... Thanks... I did not want to have a biased image about the military (marines) and so I thought Id ask. I assume that youre not pleased about the medias portrayal of the military, as a heartless and mindless force, even the mindless shooting and missing a million times seems unrealistic to me... As you said, you were trained for precision... I like the idea that soldiers/marines are trained to not only be good physical warriors but also mentally loyal/humble/good. The media surely misses the point of soldiers being just as emotional and humane and a normal citizen... Its awesome to see a person fight two wars simultaneously, that is the spiritual war and the physical war against evil. Blessings!

the_underdoghey buddy, i have a couple questions.... do you ever find it hard seperating military from Christ or vica versa? like, example. the christian in me knows i should forgive those who hurt us, like 9/11. and yet, the military in me, wants to use every skill i have learned to hurt them back. to not mess with us. recently, over here, we pulled into a port, went into the field (some navy go with you guys) and we got shot at, but we couldnt do anything until recon came in. they staked out the situation and finally shot the men who were shooting at us. recon told us that we were lucky because every night a suicide bomber would come up to the edge of our camp and then see the recon and slip away. we were ordered not to shoot. (well, combat was) at any rate, you know how much i wanted to shoot them back? they could have killed my friends. and yet, Christ would have gave them the other cheek. and yet, he told us to render under ceasars what is ceasars... ugh. sometimes, i conflict with myself. do you ever come across this?

daniel@seekGodnow.orghi jake, thank you for writing on my wall. sorry i didnt reply sooner. im also sorry that i didnt show very many of those traits, the fruits of the Spirit, or any at all. i havent been very good with that on this forum but theres a reason for that, however, i do not consider it a good excuse. ive been on this forum since it was just one page of threads, and ive always been trying to make a real difference in the views of these christians here on the site. i do believe that most of us here are not truly following God, i can tell by the way things are. i also am blunt and im blunt not so much because thats easier and more direct but because its the fact that pastors and other christian teachers are not blunt that most christians are not real. pastors dont talk about the sin in most peoples daily lives (lust, immodesty, idolatry, so many) or the lies being taught by schools (evolution, which destroys faith unlike anything else), and just the fact that going against the flow is the only way to escape death. the people on this forum dont take these things too well, and they especially dont want to hear them. there are some people on this site who, when i said something about a sinful practice that was acceptable in society, said that i should say more about how Jesus loves us and all that stuff. yes Jesus loves us but i dont know who loves Jesus, as Jesus said, "if ye love me, keep my commandments" and gave the commandment, "be perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect" - which surely just means to do your very best, but people dont do their best, and that really gets to me. i do get really upset, very often - psalm 119:53, 136 - because of the people on this site and the way that they also fail to show any fruits of the Spirit, except in wording, which is easy to do, which can be faked, and which cant be understood as proof for anything. they depress me greatly, they encourage me to leave this site, especially when they think its ok to disagree and when they think its ok to just forget about things that are unsettled. they think these things are nothing - so outside of them, they are nothing to them. but these things are something to me, very much so, but not to them, even though i say how much they mean to me. anyone who does not respect my "opinions" of what is important and what is not merely opinion but truth, is not loving me. i used to pretend that the people here were christian, like they often pretend, but i dont anymore, i dont think it is worth it. here is a poem for you to express my views on war and such, which also explains that i am upset: http://users.htcomp.net/richard/school/poem8.htm and again, thank you for writing on my wall. no one else has seemed to care that i am upset.
PutHisBloodOnItMan I could only imagine how tough it can be for ya in the service and still be a follower of Jesus. My bf was in the services and he use to tell me alot about what goes on. Hey, I put in a leave request (Like Paid Time Off, but for the Marines) to go get married to my fiancee. However I dont know if it got approved because my honeymoon is out of country. Im not stressing because my God is awesome, but I still would LOVE some back up. Please pray that I can go and get married.
Praise God that He miraculously gave me a ring to propose to my new fiance! God is so good! Please pray for our continued purity and for our relationship to prosper as He has us on opposite sides of the continent... Thanks and blessings to all who read this, (even if you dont pray, be blessed!)
Recently I received orders to a new unit and we will be going to Afghan soon. Please cover me with prayers that this new unit is ready to be harvested for Christ and that He goes before me to prepare a way, where there is no way. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I've decided to say goodbye to the forum. I honestly can't handle the constant arguing and nonsense on here. There's a lot of good people here, and I've made a lot of friends, and I love you guys! There's also a lot of solid followers of Jesus Christ on here, and I love seeing that fire. But the arguing, I cannot handle. So, I'm saying goodbye. Maybe not for good, but for now. I might post every now and then with support topics, but not if we're all just fighting on one topic. But I'm returning so to speak. Someone broke my heart last night. To be quite honest, I was played. And now I feel broken, and used, and I don't understand why this guy who seemed so nice and so focused on God and christian, could be so mean. And I gave him the benefit of the doubt, telling myself maybe he doesn't know what he's doing. No, he's 18. He knew exactly what he was doing. And i fell for it. I feel dumb for believing him. But in all of this, one good thing happened. I got closer to God, just leaning on Him for support after everything. I know He thinks I'm beautiful and meant for so much more than all of this. Detox angels are exactly what they sound like. Ever heard of guardian angels? People always stop there... There are SO many types of angels and they never consider anything other than what they have heard before. In the same way as you would pray for a guardian angel, pray for a detox one. I've seen them, experienced them, they are real.
They take the pain away from you sorta like it was radiation and you were getting scrubbed down (Like Indiana Jones, the new one). They are about 7-8 feet tall and have long brooms with big thick bristles on them. Not like a straw broom, but a scuzz brush... Thats what we call it in the corps, Idk what you guys call them. Like Janitor brooms?
Any ways, you are betrothed to Christ and anything that you ask your new husband is yours in the name of the Groom!
"christian" is essentially only a term. it was invented by the world, not by the saints, nor God. and you can tell it's just a term rather than a real name, because of how the word is formed. "christian" - "christ" "ian" - follower of Christ. it's really not meaningful, it's just a term. like American. it just means "person of america" and it doesn't really have meaning.
but what i mean is that God never ever meant for us to go by "christian" or to call all of this "christianity" - as "christian" is only ever used in the Bible when speaking of the world's point of view on the saints, and "christianity" isn't even in the Bible. but rather God meant for us to be saints, which is a meaningful word in the Bible 101 times, versus the meaningless term "christian" in the Bible only 3 times.
the word saint means separated to God. so if you are a saint, you are not a mere person, you are not of this world, you are separated from this world and you belong to God.

Why are you so concerned with categorizing and labeling? That is what Satan does. He puts things into categories and boxes, and Jesus sets them free... Stop serving Satan.
Ok scripturally there are three types of bad things to God
Transgressions: these are when you willfully and intentionally do something wrong. Like lie to your parents, or have sex out of wedlock, etc
Sin: I know that in greek, sin means "missing the mark." But to a Hebrew God and a Hebrew culture, that isn't good enough... To a hebrew, sin is anything that was not in the garden of Eden before the fall. Sin has to do with cleanliness more than right vs wrong. Ex. Childbirth (no really, there is a sin offering in the OT for this!), dandruff, using the bathroom, is all stuff that is "sin." It is about Tamei and Tahor. Clean and unclean. Did God create it, or did Satan pervert it?
The last one is called iniquity: It is comprised of 3 Hebrew letters. An Eyun Vav and a Nun. Hebrews think picture and experience so in order to learn the meaning of the word, you can study out the pictures/verbs that each character represents.
Eyun is an eyeball
Vav is a fishhook.
Nun is fish multiplying.
It is literally translated "Whatever your eye hooks into multiplies."
So if you are constantly hooking your eye into your own weakness, then you will grow in weakness. Or if your constantly learning about demons and not the Kingdom of God, then just like the church, you will begin to channel demons. It is a spiritual law, just like gravity is a natural one. Iniquity can go both ways. If you hook your eyes into intimacy with Christ, guess what gets multiplied...

The Bible does say that we are told to love others and do good to our enemies. But how can we love & respect others without letting them think they can take advantage of us? Like if someone is mocking and cussing at you, I know we should do good to them, but that person will think that they can do what they want to you and that you will not do anything to defend yourself.

Im excited because this is the first time I get to really in depth write out a revelation that Daddy gave me while reading His word.
Luke 17:26-37
26 And [just] as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the time of the Son of Man.
27[People] ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, right up to the day when Noah went into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 So also [it was the same] as it was in the days of Lot. [People] ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 But on the [very] day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed [them] all.
30 That is the way it will be on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
31 On that day let him who is on the housetop, with his belongings in the house, not come down [and go inside] to carry them away; and likewise let him who is in the field not turn back.
32 Remember Lot's wife!
33 Whoever tries to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will preserve and quicken it.
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed; one will be taken and the other will be left.
35 There will be two women grinding together; one will be taken and the other will be left.
36 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other will be left.
37 Then they asked Him, Where, Lord? He said to them, Wherever the dead body is, there will the vultures be gathered together.
Lets go back into v.26 Jesus spoke about the last day when He returns and there is a flood like in Noah's day... God make a covenant with Noah not to ever flood the earth with water.
"I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth." Genesis 9:11
The first reference in verse 27 was to a flood and the second (v28) was to fire. May I present a flood of fire? This fire is entirely real and unlike anything that many of us have seen. Habakkuk 2:14 says, "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea." God's fire is His glory! "God is an all consuming fire" Hebrews 12:29.
Verses 26-28 refer to the sparing of the righteous and the destruction of the satanic... You cannot serve two masters and no one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God. i.e. Lot's wife... v. 32 tells us that there is no room for anyone in the middle. You are either for or against The Lord of Hosts.
Again, Hebrew parallelism is in vs. 33-36: Person "A" is the one who seeks to save his life while Character "B" looses it. In the next two stories person "A" is the one taken and person "B" is the one that is left. The one who is taken is the one who seeks to save his life, but instead looses it. However Jesus said, "Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it" Matt 10:39. So that makes this contrary to the doctrine that God's people will be the ones raptured (taken out of this world rather than overcoming it, as the common definition of "rapture" has come to mean)... For clearly the people who seek to save their lives are not followers of Christ!
Last time there was judgement from Jesus, God's people were taken away (Noah and Lot) but this time, we will not be the ones harvested. The ones who reap what they sow and grind what they reap (workers of another kingdom) are the ones taken. There are only two types of people, remember? Those who sow for their own kingdom and those who sow for God's kingdom.
The disciples asked Jesus, "Where [will the be taken to] Lord?" Jesus answered them "Wherever the dead body is (Permanent death), there will the vultures (those who delight and thrive on death) be gathered."
I think that mainstream "Christianity" has gotten this one wrong. Why would God pull us out of His most glorious time ever, His grand finale! We are to be conductors of His glory (John 17) and we are to restore all things. When that happens, those who desire death will not be able to die because death is a tool of Satan, and he will have no power or authority on this earth and in that kingdom!
If you agree, write why, if not, write why. Just please no soulishness here. If you don't know, ask Daddy, but don't be like the fool who sits in kingly positions just to be thrown out... Post what you consider, but not for the sake of arguments. If I am wrong, then let the fire of God burn this revelation.

Okay, I am so glad to be an American! I say, "American by birth, country by the grace of God." even though I'm American by the grace of God, too, but you know what I'm sayin'. :) Anyway, the ten commandments. "Thou shall not kill." How does this fit in with the military? I fully support our troops and I love Jake, here, but I just have to know! SO, what do ya think? I am sure there is a good, firm Bible answer. I just don't know it yet. So, let 'er rip! It's edumacation time! :)

Jesus kills believers who are doing more harm than good. They are crowding the outer courts of heaven. Why wouldn't He kill those who are trying to persecute the righteous? Ever read Revelations, or Acts, or Genesis and Leviticus and Numbers and pretty much every single book in the Old Testament? Jesus kills people.
Well on my facebook, this guy sent me a message and friend request. He's my classmate's brother and is also a Christian. He said he liked what I posted on my profile (I had notes about God, and some of my testimonies) and he was being friendly but this guy was kinda making me uncomfortable. For about a week, he would post on my wall everyday and send me an instant message every time I was online. He always asks me what I'm doing. He would send me an IM to say good night and kept on saying things that kinda felt awkward. I don't really know him that well and he said things like he was so glad he met me, or I'm an important person to him.
He said he wanted to meet me and tell me his testimony. He wanted to go to my church and said he might come and visit. He was really starting to make me uncomfortable so my friend from church told me that I should be honest with him and tell him straight forward I didn't like what he was doing. I told him I feel uncomfortable talking to guys, mostly only guys from my church and that I need personal space.
I told him and he sent me an IM again and is still kinda talking to me. He knows what church I go to and I really don't want to meet him. Do you know how I can tell him to stop talking to me? PLEASE I feel very awkward and I don't like it when he keeps on talking to me.
I would get the hint if I was him... Lol somebody's got a crush!
I think you did the right thing, there is no easy way around that, and if he wants to play the game, he has to be ready to get hurt...
