First off I would like to thank everyone who prayed for me. I praise God for all of you! We got back from the mission trip this past Friday. The trip was amazing!!! It went nothing the way we thought it would, but God used us in a big way! The second day we were there the town was hit by 10 tornados. We all had to take cover in the town courthouse with most of the the towns people. While in the courthouse one of our students was able to witness to a young man his age. In the middle of this huge storm the young man came to Christ! After the tornados were over we were sent out into the town to help clean up. There was so much damage and debris everywhere. It was so amazing to be able to help out!!! When we got back Friday we were told that the people of the town were still asking for us and wanting us to help! Praise Jesus that we were such an amazing witness to that town!!! Also, I forgot to mention, the day before we were set to leave for our trip I was called for an interview for a job at our local university. They told me that they would call me and let me know if I got the job. The Friday we were driving home I got a call from them. I GOT THE JOB!!! God is so good!!!!!! Even though He made me wait to the very last day of our trip to show me that He has everything under control, I know that He has my life in His hands, and I know that whatever He has for me will be amazing! Again, thank you all for your prayers! You all have a special place in Heaven! :)

For roughly 7 months I have been planning to go on a mission trip as a leader with the middle school childern at the church that I go to. I have been very highly involved in all of the preparation for the trip, as well as all of the team meetings and team building. I was given permission months ago from my job to go on the trip. A week before we are to leave for the trip I get called into the HR office at work. I was told that because I did not have any vacation time they were not going to let me use leave without pay for my trip. So, if I went, it would be counted as a no call no show. I was forced to chose. We leave for the trip on Friday. Thursday is my last day at my job. Please just pray that God would guide my footsteps and help me to find a new place of employment where I can serve him to my fullest capacity. I know that I am doing what He has called me to do. I want to be the best example and servant to those middle school kids as I possible can!
