My name is Eddie Bratrud , Born and raised in Southern California. I love the Lord, and have a burning desire to reach and inspire others through christian art and design. Valerie Well the main point of the design is...now is the time to worship, not later. One reason the man is blurry is cause I didn't want the person (who is from Hillsong) to be recognizable (should not focus on the guy, should focus on the worship), and I thought it looked kinda cool that way. But you can take the meaning of the blurriness anyway you want.

mataboy Hey no problem on the reply I understand life is busy... I friended you on facebook... I have like 101 friends on there but only a couple really communicate on it lol... But its better for writing longer messages than on here. So your from Temecula cool I love it there. When we lived in San Diego we went up there often and we almost moved there. I was helping a pastor there with the worship and youth and my wife was helping with the translation of the service in Spanish for the pastor. He had a food bank and gave out food also and we helped with that. I loved old town and Texas Lil's making my own stake.. HA Anyway so how is your site doing for you are you selling any of your shirts and who does your printing because I am shopping printers for my own thing coming up ? I will have to tell you about it sometime. Well I got to go for now chat more later...

mataboy lol So how old are you? Yes I know the struggle I do not have a degree in Graphics either. I was taught by someone that could of been a teacher in collage but that does not go over well on my resume HA.. And after 16yrs of doing it it seems that all people care about is the degree.. I have tossed around the idea of getting it online but I would have to get a grant or school loan to make it happen.. I don't know with the fact that I am on permanent disability if that would stand in the way.. With my health it makes it hard sometimes to design.. My hands are in constant pain and are deforming. I have advanced RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) and fibromyalgia. I have to take about 16 pills a day and shots ounce a week its a pain. I have always done my own art and I have prided myself on the fact that I can drawl freehand with the mouse and I would have never used a stock image or clip art in my life and now that the disease has effected me it takes so much more for me to do it. I had a design awhile back that I used a lion from Go Media which in all purposes is legal and made a pretty killer design. But some awesome individual on here had to put a link to a design that someone did a year ago that used the same lion.. Which was not close to mine and of course theirs did not win or did they have anybody pointing it out that it was a Go media image and to top it off I know it was someone else using a different name.. It was ridicules I bring this up because I am very sad about how some people on Canvas treat this site and show there Christianity. If this person would of understood my situation maybe they might of thought twice about hurting my chance of seeing my design print because of there self centered agenda. It was Mastering Fear you can see it on my profile page. My wife is from San Diego thats where we was married and my daughter was born in 2000 what part are you from ? Sorry for talking so much its hard to type on here you start and next you know its a book... Do you have Facebook ? or email would like to chat more if thats cool with you. mataboy Thank you for your comments on my design.. My thought process behind that particular font is two fold #1 I don't like to use the normal stuff you see so much of and to be able to change or effect it in its currant state so that it fits whats in my mind. #2 This piece for me also falls into the category of my other that you commented on that I did not want the font to be clear and visible right away but hidden in the design. I used the font and message more as the actual design ( Art ) and added texture. I knew that I would get comments on these about being hard to read. I also no that if printed the images being on a shirt would be a lot more legible because of its size. But I do like the feedback don;t get me wrong I just wanted you to know my thought process and goals for this particular design. I like you think shirts that challenge people to either see something hidden or figure out a message it tends to stick in there mind or gets them to ask questions. Being the old fart I am there used to be a form of art that was real popular back in the late 80's and early 90's where if you focused on this what looked like nothing all of a sudden a picture appeared and the world thought it was the most amazing thing lol I was one of them... HA ..Anyway you get my point. I do all my design on illustrator the only thing I do on Photoshop is place the art on the shirt temp and the background. (OLD SCHOOL) lol So it makes the effect work that I do by hand more challenging and difficult. Thank you for your feed back its much appreciated.. How long have you been designing ?

serloren Okay, saw what you wrote on my 'page'...thanks for the info as you know it. Between what you said, and what Mataboy said I'm thinking I'll just leave it alone for a while yet. :-) Just doing the wrap-around for my adoption shirt became a real pain in determining proper art sizing etc - originally, ALL of the art went all the way around like in the small poster in the background, and I ended up only wrapping the globe and the bottom text around, and even that wasn't exactly what I wanted. Oh well, worse comes to worse with that shirt, it gave me a good excuse to plaster my daughter's face (shirt front) on the Internet right? (can you tell I'm a proud papa?)...appreciate your comments on my current design btw.

mataboy I see on that shirt where they pushed the graphic over more on the top part of the sleeve and when they screened they where able to achieve the look but its not an actual sleeve print. They would not be able to do that with the graphic at the bottom of the sleeve going under the armpit like your flower does. I did hear from someone about 5 months ago that they where going to start doing sleeve prints and all over patterns like Threadless does but they have never changed there submitting rules yet. So I'm not sure what the deal is I hope they do because it gives more freedom to us to design great shirts.. Thanks on the Retro Jesus.. I put a lot into that and was disappointed with the response. It was so amazing to me to read some of the comments about it that it was creepy and looked to Hindu and so on.. When I merely was recapturing a time frame where all the art looked like that.. Anyway I look forward to seeing more of your work. I have about 3 more I will put up some time soon I hesitate because it take a long while when you win to get the shirt printed.. I am still waiting on my Retro win and my wife is bugging me to death because she gets to wear it.. LOL Talk to you later.

mataboy Hi Eddy I just wanted to continue the sleeve topic to help.. The shirts you saw with sleeve print are not Canvas designs but from the other lines. Don't get me wrong I would love to see Canvas print more types but I think because they send it out for print the cost plays a factor. I have some designs that have sleeve print that I would love to submit but I have held back because I don't want to waste it on here if its going to be overlooked. I like your stuff I looked at your link its a nice style. I used to live in San Diego and had a real good friend that owned a printers that was called End Time Printers.. Moons ago lol.. Any way nice to meet you hope I have helped.

Zack J Krzyzanski Hey man, thanks for the comments. Ive only been designing since november or so. When i first started my designs looked cool, but they werent printable because the design was about 300x300 pixels, and i had no idea how to do this. So after a few shirts entered the pre-lims (they contact you via email about your shirt being pre selected for print) i got way excited, but they couldnt print because the design was WAYYYY to small to blow up...So i spent countless hours on-line figuring out how to do it. Ever since my first shirt won i just couldnt get enough of this site. God Bless, and your work is amazing, its right up my alley...FANTASTIC WORK!
