My bio

I was raised in a christian home, with a good childhood, both parents and came to Christ at an early age. At age 13 my mother was murdered by my adopted brother. I started experimenting with drugs and at age 14 joined a gang and got into enough trouble that I was sent to a childrens home. At age 15 I went to military school and was kicked out my junior year for fighting. I joined the army at age 17 where I drank uncontrollably and was arrested many times for fights and drug use. During a tour in Afghanistan I got into a fight with a couple guys and was facing up to 36 years in prison. I began to pray and I heard the voice of God saying that this would be the last time He would get me out of trouble. I turned my life around in 2010 and have been following Christ ever since. I live to make Him known and bring hope to people in many of the same situations that I was in. December 16 2012 will be my 5 year anniversary with my wife Haley and God has blessed me with a wonderful daughter Brianna. I enjoy running mud runs when I am not working and am looking to get sponsored sometime in the near future.

GB Brother Sean. We are still waiting for the decision on my case. I just posted a new request for my nephews who have fallen for Satans lies and have turned from God. Please pray with me once more that they may find the Lord and be saved. I was very moved by your bio and love to see a young adult that has found God at such a young age and regardless of outside pressures and pain that you have faced in your own life. I, finally, at the age of 40 have been reborn, found a wonderful Church, and am to be baptized tonight. Satan has been fighting me hard the last few days with sickness and several friends needing my faith and guidance. He wants to stop me from becoming part of the body of Christ tonight and has been relentless. I hope you will be there in spirit. Thank you again! Patricia Dear Sean- I pray for you to release your ego and humble yourself to The Lord. You wrote that you will not pray for what I beseech, rather for something that you yourself wish for. Jesus understands true love as do I. What you have now is but harsh judgement and an imposition of your own will on others. A true, in the soul Christian does not change a yearning womans prayer and then commit to pray for it. Bless you, brother- may you find real peace and sincere kindness soon. :)

sean Patricia you are being deceived. God is a God of holiness, He has nothing to do with sin, it would never be His will for someone to sin. Homosexuality is sin, there is no where in the bible that you will find it supported by a follower of Christ or Christ himself. No where did I use harsh judgment, my prayer was for you to come to an understanding of the scriptures and into a right relationship with Jesus Christ. Romans would be a good book to read :)

I need prayer for direction from the LORD. There are so many opportunities to serve and I am a part of a few ministries, I have another opportunity to represent the Lord and I just want to know I am in the LORDs will, I also want to hear if I just need to focus on one area of ministry and cutt out a few others. My brother was recently arrested for manufacturing methanphetamine. He is looking at a maximum of 15 years and $25,000 in fines. Pray that the Lords will be done with the situation and that he would come to know Christ as His personal savior.

Any good books you recommend?

Hi guys! I used to be a huge book worm prior to becoming a Christian almost 4 years ago. Now, I hardly ever read any books unless it is the Bible or any spiritual/Christian books. Sometimes I feel like reading something different, like a romance novel or even a non-fiction novel, but I do not want to expose myself to read secular material.. it just doesn't sit well with me. :P Which books do you recommend that are written by Christian authors but have interesting topics, not necessarily Bible studies - it can be anything. I am looking to purchase some books and get into the habit of reading again. :) Thanks!

Radical by David Platt is a great book about christian living.
