My bio

My name is Amber and I am 21 years old. I am currently attending college and plan to graduate with a Masters in Forensic Anthropology. I am a pastors kid and it was one of the most wonderful experiences to grow up in the church with parents who loved you so much that they were willing to let your first love be God and not them. I am so blessed to say that God has given me the strength to remain faithful to Him and follow His direction even when it was hard and I wanted to do my own thing. I thank Him for allowing me to have a testimony of living for Him my entire life and having the comfort of His love for eternity.

Favorite Scripture

Proverbs 31:10-31

Sarah Hi!!! Yeah, Tim LaHaye is good. I do know "Left Behind: Tribulation Force" was a tad scary...but I also saw it after our church burned, so... :P

LittleMiss Yeah, its crazy at what is gonna come but I think that he has gotten the closest idea and able to present it in an understandable manner than, most theologians. And I am sooooo sorry about your church! did it burn down completely or just a small part?

Surely the title may be a little misleading, on the other hand it isn't. I've seen and experienced vast multitudes of people who invest days, weeks; even months just on those hollow relationships. Now as time passes I am being pressured into entering at least one relationship. I am very well aware of my age (I'm 15), undoubtedly I know how old I am, but besides all this I am running into a wall... The Bible does not speak about Teenage Romances and Jesus doesn't really show an example because we don't know about his Teenage years... I am having no doubt that the Chronicle age shouldn't be the major factor deciding whether you can commit to something or not and if so, for how long. I don't wanna boast nor declare that I know a lot but that what I know, even if it is little is that what I believe is true. I've read quite a lot about love and several books in regards of all this, yet after all you all are the body of Christ as well... What do you say? What is "your" opinion about Teenage relationships et cetera?
I think it mostly depends on your heart and if God is leading you to a certain. Don't date merely for the sake of dating. I firmly believe that God has a specific people in mind to be in relationships. In Mark 10:6-9 it talks about a man leaving his father's house and taking a wife but verse 9 says "therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." And just as a little bit of encouragement I am 21 getting ready to turn 22 in a couple of weeks, and I've never had a boyfriend. Each time a guy has come into my life I have asked God that if this is not the right person for me than to remove him from my life. And God has honored that. Every time. Now don't get me wrong I am still very good friends with them but they are no longer a romantic interest. So until God puts that right guy in my life I am content to keep God as the lover of my heart.

As some of you know I am a personal trainer, and I have a question and want your opinions. Do you think that working out and participating in fitness activities is a waste of time and useless or even sinful as a christian? As a follower of christ should we not be taking time to workout and stay in shape? What are your thoughts on this?
Why should it only be a non-christian job? People need to hear about the gospel in the training facilities as well as in Churches and foreign countries. I am studying to work for law enforcement and I don't feel called to "Go Out" and preach but to spread the Gospel in the workplace. I firmly believe that if we undertake a calling that is not of God, He will NOT honor it. So if PutHisBloodOnIt feels like he can share the gospel there, then why not?

i think c28 would do well to add some polo shirts. something as simple as a collared shirt with small notw/c28 logo. to maybe a collared shirt with some of the same graphic designs. i love polos, and i would love to see some on this site
There actually are a couple of polos. One is called majestic polo and the other is phoenixed polo. they are under the button down category (I was looking for my brother :P)and they are pretty sweet!

My brother is always stressing about the end of the world.... And I tell him "We are both saved, so why would you worry?" And his excuse is always that he wants a chance to grow up and get out and experience the world (hes 13). Well last night we were up really late out driving, and I brought up the dreaded topic... I said "(insert his name), why are you still so worried about the second coming? You wont have to experience death, and youll get like a fast pass to heaven!" And he was like horror stricken. He said "But I dont want to go to heaven!! I mean, I DEFINATELY dont want hell, but heaven is just going to be aweful. Well go to church every day, every second, and just sit around. Its paainnnffuulllyy boring. I just want to have some fun before all of that :/ " And I tried to explain to him how beautiful it will be, how everything will be perfect and we can live side by side with our Father, but he just tuned me out. Personally, I cant imagine ever a time when I wasnt yearning to be with Christ, seeing Him in person every day for eternity, even if it meant death right this second. Is there anyone who knows of some good resources I could use to show my little brother the big picture? What heaven really is? Even a video or short book would be fantastic. I just want him to understand everything before that big moment arrives. Thanks!
Look at anything by Tim Lahaye. Hes done work for all age groups when talking about what heaven will be like. But one of the coolest things Ive found out is that Christ sets up his new kingdom on earth. We wont just be sitting around strumming harps or anything, we are going to be given positions and things to do. Also let your lil bro know that if God is great enough to create our world and keep our interest now... imagine what he can do with eternity!

Anybody know of any good christian fiction books I can look into?? Like suspense, mystery thriller, historical. I need a good read!
Anything by Ted Dekkar is really good, he is a great suspense and mystery writer, and so is Frank Peretti. All of their books are awesome!

Has anyone listen to this song? here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqgUUXthrdM&feature=related The album name is “Memento Mori” Which is a Latin Phrase meaning “Be mindful of death” or “Remember you will die”.. Now, if your wondering about how this song related to the Bible, here is this Parable: Luke 16:19-31 (New International Version) The Rich Man and Lazarus 19"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21and longing to eat what fell from the rich mans table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abrahams side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23In hell,[a] where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24So he called to him, Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire. 25"But Abraham replied, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us. 27"He answered, Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my fathers house, 28for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment. 29"Abraham replied, They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them. 30" No, father Abraham, he said, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent. 31"He said to him, If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead. " This song kinda makes me scared. I mean, think about those words from the Bible of the rich man who was cast into Hades (hell). And the words in the song, Please give me something Im so thirsty Im so thirsty Oh, Please.. let me warn them. Dont you come here, dont bring anyone here. That doesnt sound like a place you want to go... I hope you listen to the song, and think about YOUR life, the sins youve committed.are you going to be the rich man who calls out into heaven, "please, oh please?" I hope not, and i pray for myself to stand up, and wake up! and repent of my heinous sins. and take up the full armor of God! Dont wait, dont be the rich man. Dont fall into the chasm...
I think the new able really does get more up close and personal with the lyrics, especially Beautiful Bride. I think that is probably one of the best songs ever and really addresses how the church works as one body, it is an AMAZING song!

So I was looking through some of the topics here, and I see that there seems to be alot of great people on here. I know alot of you are from the West Coast, but I was wondering if there were any people on here more so from the East Coast towards the Washington Metropolitan area? It would just be realy cool to connect with some Jesus loving people around my area you know?
One place you may want to check out as a definite place to be encouraged is the 7:30 Club in Mechanicsville, MD. It is a place that brings in Christian bands and shows, but the environment is safe and there isnt any drinking, but a great way to meet up with other Christians :)
