Proverbs 16:9: "The heart of man plans his way, butthe LORD establishes his steps." Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."
Love... its not an emotion or something that someone just made up, its the most powerful lifestyle we can live and the most powerful way of expressing how much we need God. Our entire lives should be focused on the love the Jesus has for us and us to Him. Just imagine what life would be like without His love, how empty and meaningless we would be. We need to be completely and totally surrendered and in awe of who He is for us and realize that His love sustains us, in other words, prisoners of love. When we base our lives in this love, there is no limit to what God can do through us, our circumstances will change, our surroundings will change, salvation will come, prosperity will come, healing.. whatever you may be believing and crying out to God for.
Because God IS love! Thanks for posting that, its so true! His love is forever unconditional and that is what keeps causing me to run to Him more and more each day! The power of His love is amazing! I once heard a quote by Lisa Whelchel about His love ~ "Believing that you are loved will set you free to be who God created you to be. So rest in His love and just be yourself." Christ has been teaching me so much about His love lately, so its perfect timing that you posted this now..man, God is good!
I Have a small book by Sheri Rose Shepherd called: "His Princess, Love letters from Your King
and I love being able to share some of these love letters, even with my brothers-in-Christ...
I love you beyond description!
There are no words to describe how much I love you. That is why I stretched out My arms and died for you. I know sometimes you dont feel lovable, but you dont have to earn My affection. I adore you! You are My creation. I never want you to doubt My commitment to you.
I am the Lover of your soul, so let Me meet your every need. I long to set you free...Let Me hold on to your heart and fill you up with eternal love. Then you will feel My Holy prescence and fall in love with Me.
Love,
Your King who cant stop loving you
~Ephesians 3:19 ~ Psalm 117~
sorry this is kinda long ;) But it was just too good to summarize!
Your Sister-in-Christ, Rebekah :)
Hey i am Daisha and i was wondering if anyone knew of any good books i could read as a christian walking a new walk with Christ? I am already reading my bible everynight and i love it :) I am also looking for a better bible since i have KJV and i find it hard to understand so i just read the word online. Ok thanks Daisha :)
Hey Daisha! First off, Congratulations on your new relationship with Christ! That is so exciting! ... I love to read books by Francine Rivers. Redeeming Love by her is by far my favorite!! Its about Hosea and Gomar from the Bible and about Gods faithfulness, provision, and hope! She also has a set of five short books about five women in Jesus lineage! Staci Eldridges Captivating is also a great one.. Its about the importance of women and our value! My Bible is an ESV version and I love it! Well, hope you find something interesting that you will enjoy reading!
As a believer in Christ, do you have any self-imposed restrictions on what type of movies, music and television shows you watch? just want to hear you guys input...
Its important to remember that if you are a Christian and a true follower of Christ then you should strive to protect your eyes and ears. The True and Divine Holy Spirit of Christ is alive in you!! Do you really understand that?! Whatever you watch and/or listen to, you are forcing the Holy Spirit (Christ himself)to watch and listen with you. Dont make Him a slave to your sin! Now, Im preaching to myself here too, but Ive been learning a lot about the Holy Spirit and I thought I would share it with you. I fairly recently got rid of all my non-Christian cds and only listen to Christian music now. Its amazing to see how music effects my whole attitude. Im a much happier person when listening to music glorifying to the Lord. I challenge you to listen to only Christian music (if you dontt already do so) for one week, thats it, and see how it changes your life!! :) If your willing to except this challenge, let me know how it turns out!
Alright, well heres my situation:
Ive known this guy for a really long time, but just about in October/November we became good friends. He asked me out I said yes and were now a happy couple. Here comes my problem. He races dogs...And hes in Montana right now, where as Im still here (Where I live) as you can tell. He wont be back until sometime during March. So I short, hell be gone for Valentines day. Should I get him something and give it to him in March or what? Should I get him something at all? I just dont want to feel bad if he does something for me and I dont do anything. Any advice? (Were both devoted to our Faith and taking things nice and slow, lol)
send him a package!! be creative and have fun with it, but dont put too much time and emotional attachement into it since you are being smart and taking it slow..good luck!
i love listening to worship music when i am down, and a couple of my favs are from hillsong, and desperation band. " from the inside out," and "rescue" whats yours?
I love hillsong and their song "from the inside out" as well. I also really like Lead Me to the Cross" and "Mighty to Save" but recently my favorite of thiers has been "My Savior King"..I cry every time I hear it!! Its so good!
Theres a sever lacking of good, christian movie(s), but there are some. Thought Id post a thread to discuss the movies that are out.
I live in GA; and in Albany, GA there is Sherwood Pictures. They have produced Flywheel, Facing the Giants, Fireproof, and are beginning production of Courageous this year ... amazing movies
yes, facing the giants, fireproof, and flywheel were all great movies..yes they were low budget films but its not the quality of the acting that really matters it is the message it sends!! highly recommend these..."Though None Go With Me" was also very good!!
Im definately for the life of the baby!! No, matter how the mother got pregnant in the first place, God allowed it, and He does not make mistakes. There is a specific purpose for this pregnancy and God has a special plan for the life of this child and his/her mother (and father). Now let me ask something to those of you who may be pro-choice : A teenage girl is pregnant. Shes not married. and her fiance is not the father and hes upset. Would you recommend abortion?
if you said yes, you just killed Jesus Christ! the teeneage girl was Mary.
Something I think is interesting and sad about our society these days is that they cannot make up their minds!! for instance: When there is a fatal car accident and a pregnant mother is killed, the one that caused the accident gets slammed with vehicular manslaughter for two, the mother and the child within her and same goes for the murder of a pregnant woman, the murderer is charged with killing two people. But,a girl, of any age mind you, can get an abortion and kill her own child...with no questions asked. Now how does that work?! And something else that blows my mind and just makes me sick is how an underage girl 16 yrs or 12 yrs old etc. can get an abortion with out her parents permission, but the second she needs tylenol she has to have written permission from her parents/gaurdians. What is this world coming to!!
I dont know if this is already on here but here we go. One of my favorite quotes is one from my Pastor and spiritual father Daniel Segui:
"Your circumstances dont dictate what you do for God."
Heres a few of my favorite:
"When you dont know what the future holds, remember WHO holds the future"
"Every experience God gives us, every person he puts in our lives, is the perfect preperation for the future that only He can see." - Corrie ten Boom
"Man is never so tall as when he kneels before God-never so great as when he humbles himself before God. And the man who kneels to God can stand up to anything." - Louis H. Evans
"Yesu Ana To Sha!"- Jesus is Enough!
all of these are really great bands..and if you like rap or something with a really good beat check out Tedashi and Lecrae! my favorite songs from them are Tedashi- Im Fresh and Ima Believer and Lecraes album Rebel is really good too!!!!
