not asking for anybody's facebook here, but what are your thoughts on christians using facebook?
i bring this up because there are many, many objectionable things about the environment of the facebook website, there are many concerns about privacy, and it can easily become an addictive waste of time. also i am convinced that "socializing" isn't good for those of us who want to be unstained from the world.
also, regarding the fact that "friendship with the world is an enmity to God" - doesn't that mean friendship with the world makes us God's enemy? so why are we "friending" non-christians on facebook?
what other issues do you see with christians using facebook? do you think that christians should not use facebook or should use it with discretion? should we befriend those who hate our God in their hearts?

I believe the key is… Can you be IN the world without the world being IN YOU.
To me that verse means: When you are seeking answers and/or solutions who do you turn too [for answers]? God or the world?

As to why We sin I think Romans 7: 14-25 kind of sums it up (look up 14-20)
21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in Gods law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to Gods law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

It's relative to where you are. Christians in Germany are not celebrating the fourth. Plus how many Americans actually celebrate it as our day of independence versus celebrating a day off to gather with friends or just relax?
Lol so i thought i would do a fun post... I am writing a love song lol. I have the first verse, I am not in love, I've just always wanted to write one lol. I want itto be fun and innocent, I'm leaning more towards indie rock. Some would say John the baptist was an unforgettable character because of his wild appearance and odd diet. The truth, however, is that he is memorable because he had character. We can live for others, trying desperately to win the approval of the crowd, or we can live for an audience of one, seeking only the approval of Christ. Ultimately each of us will stand before the Lord and give an account of how we have lived our lives (2chorinthians 5:10). What matters most is pleasing the Lord. :]
I think they have become there own worst enemy. Because of the foot they put forward in the beginning it causes them NOT to be able to effectively grow as a brand. Christians are some of the least tolerant when it comes to change (in my opinion). We tend to think of the new thing God wants to do as heresy. The religious mind wants to hold on to the old thing God has done instead of embracing the new.
Today her last episode will air on tv and I say good riddens to her! She has been terrible for society as far as false spiritual teachings and her endorsing false spiritual teachers. Yeah she gives things away and to charities but she denies Jesus is the only way! She claims to be a christian but yet spreads lies and deception and has lead many astray from the gospel and its teachings. I am so glad she is stopping her show. Butin the mean time we should all pray for her that she humbles herself and accepts Jesus as the only way to heaven.
The even bigger deal is where is the Christian (fill in the blank) that can match her influence and do we as a Christian community support said individual(s). If there aren't any, then why not and who will step up?
