Eddie Bratrud Hey Rory Just wanted to let you that I really dig your art. To be honest with you Before I saw some of your shirt's I was afraid of experimenting with vibrant colors, especially pinks and purples, but you have totally changed my perspective on this. The two guy's shirts I am working on now have pink and purple in the design and Im lovin it.... Man was I wrong. btw My Revelation clothing line is doing o.k, considering my lack of time and funds to get it up and going. I've sold a few shirts here and there, but most of the stuff you see on my website hasn't even been printed yet. Thanks for stopping by keep the fresh art coming.

Michael M Hey Rory... yeah I am still around. The family and I are doing great. I keep expecting to get myself back into the swing of things and throw some designs online, but I just haven't quite made it there... yet. I just found that my constant work on the computer (whether for money or fun) really impacted my family life in a negative way. I took a huge leap away from any design or home computer time to spend time getting centered again with God and my family. I honestly am just thoroughly enjoying the time I am spending right now though I do feel that design itch getting stronger, so I will be back. Have a God one!

Valerie Sorr, I'm not going to do anything else with my cell phone design. I want my first winning design (whenever that will be) to be all by ME. I really don't know how to use my programs verywell, but I'm always learning and I wouldn't feel right if someone created a design for me. I haven't taken any classes on design and I'm gonna see how good I can do! =^)

james rory you can't give up just because the community is still a little immature. they are mostly notw lovers and have a hard time liking anything that is out of the notw box. i think your stuff is essential to the growth of this community. a couple of my designs got voted really low and it surprised me too, but its not gonna stop me from designing stuff i like. i don't design stuff for every one else i do it for me. and if people like it that's a bonus. any how you should keep up what you were doing and ill keep giving you 5s for designs that blow me a way like most of yours do.

untitled Hey Rory, thanks for you encouraging words and support. I've stopped trying to understand the voting process. It seems if you want to win you simply need to create designs compiled of "gomedia" clip art elements and you're golden...(i wish I were exaggerating). If I were to do that with any of my clients I'd never get hired again. Your submissions seem to be grossly overlooked, I supposed its just the market; it really is a pity though. Anyways, you've been very supportive and I wanted to express my gratitude, you're one of a handful of designers on here I respect. I've already found a buyer for the Samson design. Here's to Christians and the Arts! (onward)

mkdesign Hey Rory, I saw Zack's comment to you, and you are not alone that the voting sometimes baffles you. Obviously being a professional designer (it shows in the quality of your designs) it can be really frustrating when other designs that are mediocre at best get great reviews- I chalk it up to the fact that most people voting on here aren't designers and don't get the difference in quality. Keep in mind these are the same people who buy Karuso shirts! (no offense to them but their designs are super simple and cheesy) Those of us who are real designers on here will keep pulling for you- we know the difference! Thanks for raising the bar! Check my new stuff too if you get a chance!

Zack J Krzyzanski Hey man, I read your post on Aaronymous's wall, and i felt that same pain. Earlier on my scores were fairly low as well. And I actually said the EXACT same thing you said to my g/f, and she agreed. None-the-less I kept on designing and then they got better. Its hard to tell exactly how the voting goes, but id have to say that your designs are always a MAJOR inspiration to me. They are what pulled me into "Cool" colors. Before i seen your designs I used plain ol' color schemes. I have given just about all your designs a "5" not only because they are 100% your, but because they inspired me to take much different approaches to designs.

Zack J Krzyzanski Hey man! Suddenly i see alot of us in the same boat. WE ARE ALL BUSY!!! I wish i could just do canvas all day...Early on i would only get like 5 hours of sleep every night, and after a few months of that i got worn out pretty good, even got sick for a few weeks. Since then I get more sleep which means less canvas time. And on top of that its summer, so my schedule is SUPER-Busy. I try hard to have canvas time all the time, but sometimes it just doesnt happen. I work as a parts advisor/consultant at Lithia Volkswagen in Medford OR, which eats up most of my time.

Been traveling all month going to conferences almost nonstop, I have had an indescribable month!!! Victoria Rory-thanks for the comment on my wall bro. And on my ear design--I have to say I am astonished at the response it got. I thought people would get weirded out at the ear and give me a 1 or 2. Thanks for all your comments on my shirts, you are so encouraging! Your work inspires me to work harder and keep improving. I am working on what is definitely my weirdest design yet, but I keep re-drawing it. I drew it in pencil and then in ink but when I scanned it and tried to give it that cartoony look with the fat borders I got totally stumped! Also I was trying out the trial of CS4, wow could I do so much more with that than my PS Elements 2.0. As soon as I get some dough I'm gonna be getting CS3. In the meantime my CS4 trial ran out and I don't want to go back to Elements, so it might be a while before I submit anything. ANYWAY, love your stuff, my favorite is still Jesus Rocks, can't wait to see more! Blessings

Michael M Rory… I had actually noticed you were in Manchester right after Ashley and I had returned from visiting her Dad up there. It was the first time, as an adult, I got to wake up and see snow on the ground and snow falling. I saw it once when I was 12 (which is now almost 20 years ago!). It was beautiful, though as an adult I prefer to avoid having to shovel it, so I think I will keep living in sunny Florida for now, especially considering I own the house I grew up in. The next time we head up there to visit her Dad I’ll make a point to drop you a line to see what you’re doing. We would love to grab a cup o’ Joe. It will probably be a while though (like a year or two) as our vacations are few and far between on our limited budget. That’s how it goes having a family on one income, so that my wife can raise our daughter during the day rather than someone else. By the way… if you are only posing as a graphic designer as your profile says than I can’t imagine how amazing an actual graphic designers work must be, because you have been rocking it. God Bless!

Zack J Krzyzanski Sorry its taking so long to submit. I was supposed to on friday, but family came over and then saturday i woke up early and back-packed into a mountain lake and camped over night. Sunday after hiking back out of the lake and driving home i immediately went to church then to a different lake the opposite direction and spent then day there with friends. Then we went out to eat and when all was said and done it was about 10:00 last night when i finally got some breathing time, unfortunately i fell asleep in about 2 seconds flat so its still not submitted or completely finished. haha but soon
