My Answered Prayers

I have an older brother who is in desperate need of prayer. He is currently serving in a third world country for the United States Navy, and will be there until October 2010. He is 23 years old, and has a 4 year old son. He married the mother of his son after they had the baby, but is now currently in the process of divorce. For the past seven years, my brother has led a life of many addictions and sinful behaviors such as sex, drugs, and alcohol. There have been times in his life where he has been influenced by other Christians around him, including the few members of our family who are Christians, and he has expressed to me in the past a desire in his heart to get rid of his past addictions and find a new life in Christ. He knows deep down what he should be doing and what he shouldnt be doing, but he does not have the strength or the willpower to overcome temptation. Like I said, right now, he is in a third world country right now for the Navy--he has the opportunity for his eyes to be opened to something new down there, he has the opportunity to make a huge impact on others lives, but instead- he is choosing to partake in his sinful behaviors during his free time--sex (adultery since he still is married), drinking, partying, etc. My brother has confided in me in the past for guidance and support and advice and with prayer requests, but right now its hard living with the pain and discouragement from his situation. I pray for my brother to be healed and freed of all his sins, desires, and chains that are weighing him down right now. I pray for God to annoint him with the strength and courage to stand up for himself and his morals and what little faith he has--to do the right thing and to make Godly decisions in the midst of the situation hes living in right now. I pray for him to cross paths with someone where he is at right now- someone who will leave a seed in him, or water the seed that is already planted-- that someone would speak an abundance of truth into his life and impact his conscious, leaving him with an abundance of guilt that forces him to turn to the Lord. I pray for words to speak to him--truthfully, lovingly, with wisdom, patience, and perseverance. I pray for the women he is engaging in sexual activity with, that they would turn away from him, and also be healed. I pray that my prayer would be echoed by other believers who will join me in believing that God will answer it and save my brother. Thank you in advance to anyone who chooses to join me in prayer.
