I am 22 years old. My God has changed my life in so many ways. I thank Him daily for who he is, what He has done, and what He is going to do. I pray my life is a witness for the Lord and I just want to be closer to Him.

I am the oldest person(21) in my youth group at church and I have been feeling like Im not being the leader that I need to be for all the younger members. Our youth leader is 19 years old and he does a great job, he really does. I pray that I can step up and become more of a spiritual leader and role model to the others in the group.
The group is very musically talented and oriented and the current leader guides them on that path. I pray that God would provide a way for me to step up and be the spiritual leader that I want to be.
I don't know if anyone else thinks this is funny, but I think it is a must watch!

Okay, I believe God has given us a free will. But, no matter what road we take, He has a plan for that choice.
And God knows what choices He wants us to take, but we as humans dont always follow His voice. If we deviate from something He wants us to do, He also has a plan for that road.

This was an old thread I created but since there are so many newbies I thoght I would bring it up again.
Do you think Jesus return to earth can happen during our life time? I know no one knows the time or day besides the father but Jesus gave us some signs to look for! Such as Israel being restored and the Jewish people returning which happened in the 40s. A great falling away from the faith,rumors of war,people claiming to be Christ etc.... Sometimes I get so excited thinking about it! I think our generation has a good chance of seeing it! And I know we are suppose to be working when he returns and not sitting and waiting but who cant help getting excited about it! Interested on what you guys think!
I am not really curious and dont need to know, I think what you believe and act on from Gods word is important and more importantly is what is in your heart....but a few people here are curious. So if you want to tell everyone what denomination you are or what church you attend, please do.
What I am curious about is:
* Do you know, believe and adhere to each and every, ---ALL of the teachings and/or rituals of your said denomination? --Are there some you dont believe or understand yet?
* Do you readily accept something because your Pastor, Priest, the Pope, the internet, ect. told you it was true? --Have you tested all beliefs of your said denomination against Gods word?
* Does your denomination go by Gods word the Bible as the only source of truth?
* If you think people claiming affiliation with your said denomination are the only ones who will receive salvation?
* Do you believe any denomination has 100% of the truth?
I guess Im a lil different here too, lol. I go to an Assembly of God church :)
I trust my pastor, I really do. And if theres anything I have a question about, I look it up in the Bible and try to study it out. The Bible is Gods holy word and it is all we follow. I do follow and trust in our core AG beliefs.
Also, I dont believe you have to be AoG to make it to heaven. It is about salvation and a personal relationship with God.
Some people call us crazy or weird with the shouting, speaking in tongues, etc..but to me, it feels right. I love my God! :)
I would say Mere Christianity. I havent read it, but I was told that its the best first read of any C.S. Lewis books.
Weird though that you brought this up, I was just discussing this with a friend of mine who is like a Lewis scholar, lol. And Im supposed to borrow his copy of Mere Christianity :)

I dont see anything wrong with the expensive jewelry. I dont want to make it a huge argument or anything either. It shouldnt be such a big deal. But, hey, thats just me. :)

I personally dont twitter, but I most definitely text and facebook! @Japlace I text about maybe 2,500? a month...I swear its not as bad as it sounds!!!! I could definitely spend that time with Jesus instead...
