My Answered Prayers

Family wrought with alcoholism and drug abuse. All have been saved, thank God, but are in dire need of a God intervention. All have lost their children b/c of their actions, and my husband and I have had to put them all on the "tough love train", to include his only child. I have no children of my own, so she is it for us. Please lift them all up in prayer and be in prayer for my husband and me as well. Have to love at arms length is difficult, especially around the holidays, but when peoples mere presence makes you so miserable you want to jump out a window, you really have no other choice than to love from a distance. The fact that some of them steal from our home also makes it hard b/c we cannot sit down and just enjoy their company for watching their every move. Weve had to tell each of those weve caught stealing that if they do it again, they will be prosecuted. We dont know what else to do. Thanks for your prayers.

pray for my prayer request

Have several family members who are alcoholics and/or drug addicts. Theyve all lost custody of their children and dont seem to be moved by that fact. The sad part is, they are ALL saved!!!!! Unfortunately, because of their actions and refusal to change, we have had to break off almost complete contact with them, including my husbands adult daughter (and his only child - I have no children so she is it!) That is soooo hard b/c we love her but we cannot continue to enable her to use. When we get to see our grandaughter (her child) we cannot even let her come over to visit b/c she is court ordered not to be near her child! Why in the world do these people not see what they are doing to these precious children? Please pray that all of them will be brought to the places they need to be to get their lives straightened out. Please pray for my husband and me to have the courage to continue to do the right thing, b/c it is the hardest thing weve ever had to do. We are especially close to all of these people and it is so difficult not being able to enjoy being around them. We cannot invite them over b/c if we do not give them money or other things, some of them will steal from us. Thanks for any and all prayers! BTW, their ages are 43, 38, and 28, so we are not talking about rebllious teens.
