CourtneyOkay for one, (((MAJOR HUGGLES!!))) I want you to know that you have obviously went through so much to get to where you are now. You may not have went through one of things that I have, but every STRONG Christian goes through some of the hardest challenges that anybody could ever face. This to me is a blessing. That just means that YOU and I are so strong in our faith, that God sends us STRONGER challenges for us to go through just to put our very faith to the ultimate test. And let me tell you hunn, some people in this way feels that its a curse and blames God for our lack of faith. But I know that this is a BLESSING because its just another chance for us to show how much we are truly soldiers for our Father in Heaven. He chose YOU and me to uphold His story and change/save others to know their FATHER. He chose YOU and me and trusted US and believed in US told help BUILD the Kingdom of God.. I keep a few things in mind when certain challenges go on. First off, I know that God would NEVER put me through something that I couldnt handle. I know that when a challenge begins, that with OUR JOINED FAITH, there will be a MIRACULOUS BLESSING and the very end date of that challenge. The Lord said that for all of our troubles that we face here on Earth, He will DOUBLE the reward for every.single.little.burden we had to go through. Thats just amazing.. Ive also learned something in church last night and wrote down the notes to sum it up; "Weve got to focus on GOD. NOT on our fears. FEAR is our arch enemy of our soul and of our very faith. It will make you doubt God and do many of things we wouldnt normally do. When FEAR arises, TRAIN yourself to FOCUS on our Father. Everything about you was made in the very image of our FATHER Himself.. NEVER LET YOUR FEAR IN THIS LIFE ROB YOU OF YOUR VERY PERSONAL SONG THAT GOD HAS MADE JUST FOR YOU. Your confidence in GOD will be CHALLENGED ALL AROUND YOU! KEEP your confidence in GOD for HE is with YOU and will BLESS YOU. God is preparing you through your challenges to fight and face the DEVIL whom will challenge you with FEAR and DOUBT. And this very reason is to lead your soul straight to hell for eternity.." But you and I are stronger than that. YES we have heartache and we get depressed.. Were down and out on life sometimes and we wonder why us? Why after everything that weve done, why this..? But at that very moment when these symptoms are upon us, thats when God is just ACHING for us to REACH OUT and take His hand and NEVER let go.. Like David from Psalm Chapter 27 Vs. 1-14. We cant do anything without FELLOWSHIP AND PRAYER. We are more blessed in Gods house and with our people and through prayers than anywhere else in this world. Ive FINALLY recently found my church that Ive been looking for, for years. JUST in time for the challenge Im going through. God works in mysterious ways, and were not meant to understand it all. Hence where faith comes in. Lol. But Horacio, let me just say that your words and your hope, your prayers and the love and care you show me as well as EVERYBODY HERE... Youve made me stronger. God has put you in OUR lives to keep us holding on. And that is what Im doing. You are definitely one of the MAIN reasons why I sucked it up and held on as hard as I could to my very Faith in our Father. So just because you havent went through the very same thing, doesnt mean that you dont have a clue on how to help because you have the very power to heal with your amazing Word of God and your prayers. Angela Thank you so much for your comment I hope I am doing the right thing. I just dont know if there is something else I need to be doing? I am not afraid nor have I ever been afraid of the demons. I can say it was confusing to me, at first I was very curious I have spoke to the demons that are in my son, it does seem to calm their disruptive behavior down for at first I had bruises all over me, they say they like me (haha as though a demon can like?) because I am not like the other humans, I am nice to them. I have asked them if this was their child how would they feel or what would they do and they hate that question they say that is enough! I try to see if I can get any kind of regret or sympothy to come into their (mindset) I do not hate the demons we can get along, I tell my son they are just doing their job. And it is my sons job to listen to me and follow my direction, but I cant get through. Thank you for your prayers and please ask God what he wants me to do to help not just my son but others as well! CourtneyMy dearest big broooooo!!! As I was telling you wayy down there on the prayer board that I have a health update to inform you withhh!! I am making sure that youre the first one to know out of my friends! Haha. Im not big at all for telling my health problems, but this one got too serious. So fist off, I just want to say THANK YOU again because I cant thank you enough for being THERE for me when I put myself out there with my health information!!!!!! :,) Well I had to go to the Emergency room last night and by the GRACE of God and the amazing prayers that went up to Him from you and your family, I am on antibiotics for a major head infection having to do with all of the symptoms that I was having. Unfortunately, they said that it was caused by my absest tooth, but hopefully, by these really strong antibiotics and an OTC prescription of Claritin D, I SHOULD be okay. I have to take each together twice a day. And ALONG with those two, they want me to take Tylenol alternating with motrin as needed for the pain. And Mucinex OTC twice a day for congestion. (Personally, I just think theyre trying to make my stomach bleed from all of these medicines!) But the one thing Im worried about is that when they said "If this doesnt help, then unfortunately its much more serious and they would make me have a CT scan on my brain. And that alone is just $2000. I have to go back in ten days for them to check on me. I HATE hospitals for GOOD reasons, but I know my number one healer is GOD!! Without your support in this, I would feel alone and scared. But because of your wonderfully kind words that were God-sent, I have hope and faith that the Lord our Father has me covered and it gave me my faith and hope to pray to Him that my life is in His hands and to let His will be done. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUUU for everything that youve helped me with!!!! :)

Abby Hi, Horacio. You keep popping up every now and then, and I am really thankful for that. You make me, (And a lot of other people, I am sure) feel like we arent the only ones in the world, that are going through something. :) And that makes us feel a lot less lonely. :) And you are a true example. Ive been praying to god for my mom. she is kinda lost in a sence. she is a cathloic and deep in to it. well the other day she was coming out of chruch and this women she use to hang around with, had made a comment to her a nd it got my mom down. she had no way to defend her self and her faith. my mom dosent read the bible and she didnt know what to say. she had told me about it later that week. i told her what scribrture to read and it would have help her out that day. well anyways last nite i was with my mom and we were talking cuase she had got hurt over a argument she had with my brother and was upset about it. so i went over to confort her about it. i was about to leave and something got in to me to ask her for her bible. i never seen it or much less seen her read it. i was expecting this little tiny book. she pulled out this giant 10 pound bible that made mine like a childs book. i was in awww about how nice it looked. shes had it for about 30 years and never read it. i showed her that it had a one year reading guide to it. she loved the fact that i showed her how to use that. she was so encourged to read it. i looked up to the heavens and thanked god for what he did that moment. my mom can now start to understand the bible. and now we can maybe start having nice talks about what we read. and maybe she will have anwsers to people who tell her hurt full things. Hey everybody ive been away for a while. sorry about that. this is not a prayer but a praise. i just want to say that for this past week i;ve been busy at work and i got a bad cold and have been home all last week. i was talking to my wife about how ive been away from all of you! hey everybody! im trying to get through the day without being to bumed out! my daughter is not taking to me right now. shes mad at me and ive ran out of ways to talk to her. i know that if i keep my faith i will get through this. but i pray that the good lord gives her the strength to be abel to get over this and talk too me. i dont know how to handle this problem im in. it hurts so much that i dont have a close relationship with her. is there anybody out there that can give me some advise? please help somebody :(

Original Prayer Request (posted 2 Years Ago): hey everybody out there! god bless you all! i want to say something that has been on my mind all day. the other night i had a bad dream about my mom. right now in her life she is dealing with bad health. her hands have carpoal tunnel. her shoulder rotor cups are damaged. i think about her whole upper body is not in good condtion. and she still works. i feel helpess sometimes cuase i know she is in pain but has no choice to work. i cant help her out with money cuase im scraping by my self. i wish i could have a bigger home to take care of her, but the lord hasent granted me that. i know something good will happen. and i know i have to wait. well back to my dream. my mom apeared to me with her hands hanging lifeless. and she told me. Original Prayer Request (posted 2 Years Ago): hey every body. i went through a tough time sunday. i have this co-worker that is kinda going thorugh a ruff time in his life. last week we were riding in my work truck and were talking about the bible. now this past week our chruch was telling us about how we should invite someone over to church for a special service called THE CHAIR SERIES. its about people geting saved by christ. testimonies. our pastor said that this service wasnt for people like us that already accepted christ in our lives. but rather for people that are in need of christ and change. so i told him about it. and he agreed to come with his family. so i thought that was awesome! this is what made me feel so bad. i feel so selfish.the whole week i have been praying for my self and family and other on the c-28 who ask for it. the whole time i never once stoped and thought about my co-worker and what he was going through. so saturday night i told my self i was going to call him and ask if he was still going to go. but i didnt! so the next morning when i went to his house he told me he was going to pass on that service. he said he had gotten in a fight with his wife the night before. so he felt angry! so angry that he didnt feel like going and forcing a smile on his face for anyone. he felt like staying home by his self. no matter what i told him i could not convince him to go. i felt so bad! like i let him down! i felt so selfish to not have thought about him all week after he agreed to go. we grew up together in the same town. see ive know him almost all my life. but when i found christ we stopped hanging out cuase i left all my sinfull ways behind me along with most of my friends. he has a small problem with drinking everyday. i feel so bad about what happened. so can we all come toghter and say a prayer for him. his name is arron. thanks peace out! your brother who loves you all. :)

Original Prayer Request (posted 2 Years Ago): i want to say a prayer for the radio station called k-love! thats a station that cares for the world! they were having a pledge week to raise money to keep all the staions from shuting down. i hope they reached their goal! i was listening to it yesterday and i felt something in my heart to donate something. anything but im kinda short on cash right now. times are tuff for me and my family right now. all day i heard them talking about it. i keep fight it off and just thought that maybe the rest of the world could do their part i wouldnt have to. i was wrong. the D.J said that only 5 of k=love listners actually donate money! can you belive that? so i picked up the phone and did it! i pleged 10 bucks a month. i texted my wife after and told her what i did. so could not belive it! she told me earlier that day in the afternoon she prayed to god that i would pleged something! she was crying when i told her what i did. god moved me through her prayer! thats awesome! god is so great some times you have no idea. i love you all out there so please pray that k-love met their goal.
i just want to say to everybody that prayed for me that i found salvation! my daughter has come around to me and we have talked it out! it took a little while for it to happen. but it came in our chruch after this past sunday. it was awesome how it happend. our pastor hit the right notes in the talk she gave us! it was like she knew what we were going through. god worked through her to us! it felt good to hug my daughter. it had been weeks sence ive had the feeling back! everything i feel is back to normall. thanks to all of you! thank you God for being so awesome! you rock like no other!
Original Prayer Request (posted 2 Years Ago): hello everybody im still bumed out today. no progress with my daughter yet :( maybe things will come around? i think sometimes i just think that things need to happen so quick for me to fell better. but i cant take advantage all the things that i still have in life. like my wonderful wife. my children. and a great relationship the one and only J.C. so maybe i just have to be thankful that i still have my health and a great career. and things are still goning good in my life besides my relationship with my oldest daughter. so i think with time and love she will come around. i pray to you God that the bless every home that is asking of your help. that you bless every home with the faith of god. and i thank you God for turning my life around and opening the door for me and showing me the light! its awsome to finally get out of the darkness! hey every body i wish this could be a answered prayer but it isnt. my nephew fell dont even harder. he lost his job and stop going to chruch. he drinks everyday and dosent listen to me anymore. i told him all i can do for him is pray for him. lets hope he will snap out of it. god bless you all for trying to help me out by praying for his lost soul. love you all

my prayer was answered my dughters are taking again and both are geting along just great yesterday was hard on me cuase i didnt know how to get them to talk until they took it upon them selfs to do it! church is going to up awsom this sunday! cant wait till sunday now ;)

Any of you use any messengers? I desperately need some Christian friends in my life..and honestly, I don't care if you're from overseas or in the states. I graduated college in 2010, and split with the group of friends I made there. The closer ones are into weed and alcohol. The Christian ones I made won't keep in touch. The church I'm currently attending has no one around my age. So if anyone else is in the same boat and wants to talk- please let me know!
hey redemption sounds like a bumer! i would try to be there for you bro but i cant all the time. i work ten hours a day and sometimes i dont get to use the cpu. but i feel ou on the whole friend thing. sometimes it can be tuff to met someone that can fit into the same boat as you. just have faith in god and maybe you will have some friends later. that you can call friends! lol :) peace out bro!
I've been wanting to get involved in a bible study- preferably around people my age. Thought it'd be cool to get one going online for the C28 people. We seem to be in a group of our own. Anyone else interested? Any ideas on how to get one started???
who be in charge of the bible study? wouldnt it have be some one like a pastor? someone with alot of knowledge in and around the bible? or would ordinary people like us be able to do it? regardless i think its a good idea. i know that i dont have a lot of time to spend on the cpu. so maybe checking what study per day or week might be hard for some people. maybe like a email? or text? on what we are to read?
Over the years we seen the American dream evolve into wanting and needing more big house,biggest flat screen TV,latest electronics,newest cars,boats,four wheelers, high paying jobs. Many Christians get caught up into wanting these things so they go to school and pursue that degree to get that high paying job while getting in debt with school loans, then once getting that job get into more debt with buying a house then a car and then more useless stuff! All the while they attend church maybe throw a 20 in the offering plate every week, they pray, read the Bible and do the whole christian thing. Later on down the road they are stressed with bills and soon are unhappy and don't know why. This is where the so called American dream left them with a demanding job,student loans,house payment,expensive car payment, this is what is happening and going to continue to happen to many Christians if we don't wake up and follow the commands of God and how he wants us to live our lives. No where in the Bible does it say to live comfortably and seek high paying jobs and posessions and to satisfy our desires and needs. But what I do see written is to deny ourselves and do not satisfy our needs as Christ did not satisfy his needs, I see we are to give and help to those in need giving glory to God. The American dream is not Biblical and should not be pursued as the people who are in the world around us do, pursue Gods will instead and what is commanded of us in the Bible.
whoa! thats the best way to put it! i use to think like that too! i wanted that nice lower truck! i wanted that fat bank account! i wanted to be the most popular kid in school. but know that i devoted my life to J.C. i see things very different! i cant belive that so many people at night pray for million dollars. instead of praying for a fellow family member to get over a diease. i just resently started reading this book by dave ramseys. called the total money make over system. its a great book on how to get out of debt, the old fasion way! working! he exsplains that a 30 thousand dollar car or truck is plan dumb! when all it is a form of transportion. ive gotten rid of a lot of things that i dont need anymore. and sense i've read that book i okk at things a lot different now. i still drive my dads 88 ford bronco and got rid of my tahoe! sure the bronco may not look as good and my kids are embaresed to ride with me. but does the same thing as my tahoe did. get me from point a to point b! i agree with sarah32! God is the way to go! and if he wants u have to those things he will just give them to u! God bless u all!
I am about to make a huge decision. There's this guy I've been talking to lately and recently we got into a conversation about courting, and he laughed and said he thought it was dumb in a roundabout way. This was a HUGE red flag for me, he isn't the one, and we can still be friends, but I really want to commit to courting which means I obviously want a guy who is into it as well. This would mean no dating until I am actually ready to get married, and considering I am in colllege and 17, I would have to wait a few years because I don't want to get married anytme soon. This would be a huge commitment because I would be waiting years to even look at a guy as more than a friend unless it's of course in God's will... anyways, so, any advice?? Because I know whats right, but my head and heart have declared war on each other and they need to start working together.
hey nicole i just read about ur problem with this guy first of all it takes alot of guts to post that. i think all the advise u received is the right stuff. i'm 29 and made a lot of mistakes in my life one of them is have relations with a girl. i wish i would have waited. but i was one of those who listened to my none christian friends. growing up in this day in age is so hard to do. but i think ur on the right track. god will send u someone when ur ready. focuse on ur school for the time being. when u lest expect it some one will come in to ur life that will respect u for who you are. i admire ur courage in even thinking about this, as hard as u have. i can just imagine what ur going through. have faith in god and u will have victory in life. god will give u the strenght to get through this. god bless u and i know u'll make the right choice.

thats awsome to know where some of us are from. i'm mainly just got on the prayer board cuase when i get online i just have a few minutes sometimes. i dont have a cpu at home so the forums dont work out so good for me. but i do see one face on the prayer board alot! Gabriella! so gaby u say ur from the netherlands? sounds awsome! whats the weather like over there? is it sunny alot? dose it rain alot? any way i look at it it a pleasure to see where ur from.
I was just wanting to know what you guys were reading in the Word currently. Also, how do you guys generally read the Bible? Do you read an entire book from chapter one to completion? Do you read in the Bible by subject-- I.e.: looking up passages on prayer and focusing your attention on the subject for awhile? Do you vary day by day, going by the Spirit's lead...or do you do something totally
different?
I would just love to know how you guys spend your time with God in His Word & what you guys are reading right now.:)
