I stick to the hard way, since it's the right way, One more inch of a right thing done, one more inch easier to do the next thing right. Do one thing the wrong way five times easier to do the next thing wrong. I am from california, I am in love with the lord, life is hard but i see pass the toughness to my upmost. I don't force people to love god but I sure will laugh at how much your missing out. God's always there even when you think he's not. I am the only one in my intermediate family who is a strongful believer.

Check the oldest bible you have Psalm 83:18. If you don't post that you don't. So supposedly God actually has a name JEHOVAH. The words God and Lord and almighty are just common nouns and not proper nouns so if you think about it god can be pertained to any thing like god of mishcief or Lord as in my Lord king arthur or bruce almighty. But they say jehovah is unique and pertains to god and has a greek translation Yahweh. If you go and find the greek bible translations does it say things that were taken out of our bibles. How can this be true. Well so they say you have a relationship with another person would you wanna be called hey, person, guy, girl,human, or do you prefer your name which makes you unique. They say this jehovah means "the existing One" therfore the one and only god witch makes god unique. Why would leaders take this name out?

Hey everyone. Most of you have seen me around a time or two, but I really need some advice right now:
So my brother is 13 and I recently started helping at his youth group. They are doing GodQuest which is a video and Bible study. But through this study he has expressed his doubt in Christianity to me. He believes in God and Jesus, but he doesn't understand the relationship aspect. I've tried explaining things over and over to him, but it's not clicking. I've taken an apologetics class so I know all the "right" answers. Some of the things he's asking me.....I don't know the answers to. Every time we try to discuss it, really talk about it, he just gives me answers like he really doesn't care. Mostly it boils down to the point where he says, "I tried God for a week. I read the Bible, I prayed. Nothing happened."
He would probably get alot better answers from his youth leader, but he's keeping this all under a mask, and I'm the only one he's expressed this too.
This is seriously breaking my heart guys. To see him at this point.....What do I do? Any advice would be appreciated, and of course prayer.
A good Illustration is lets say your walking in the middle of the desert and you come across a house that has everything you can think of; air condition, tivo, satellite radio, pool, and fully stocked FRIG . We may go inside this house and relax and enjoy it , but do we understand how everything works, say for instance do you understand the plumbing. Its just like god we know him and enjoy him but do we truly understand all the ways how he works.

Well, I live in a very small town and we have NOTHING to do lol. I mean it, no bowling alley, movie theater, nothing. When we were younger we would play hide and go seek throughout the entire town, and we hide on top of biuldings, all kinds of crazy places. We used to play tag in cornfields also lol but now we aren't kids anymore and I want to show my friends there are other fun things to do besides drinking etc. So does anyone have any ideas?
SO I WENT TO ROUTE 66 IN CALIFORNIA LAST WEEK END, I RAN INTO A GUY WHO WAS PASSING OUT THINGS ABOUT GOD. HE ASKED ME A COUPLE QUESTIONS THEN START CLASSIFYING ME, AND STAMPED A NAME FOR ME, AND TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO HELL, I WAS NICE AND SAID THANK YOU AND TOOK HIS PAPERS. HOW SHOULD I REACT TO THIS, HOW WOULD YOU REACT TO THIS. SHOULD I GO AROUND TELLING PEOPLE THEY ARE GOING TO HELL IF THEY DON'T MEET MY STANDARDS. JUST CAUSE THEY DON'T DO CERTAIN THINGS.
exactly I like the what you said in your post, I agree that god should be the only one to judge. I would of liked that guy to approach people different, I respect what he is trying to do. If I was him I would try to ask if they know where they are going after they pass, then tell them I can help you be sure of your self, because I have love and care for you as a person!!!xD
