PutHisBloodOnItpretty much in a nut shell I was born and raised on 8mile in Detroit in a very bad neighborhood, I have had several times where I have almost been killed growing up and over the years seen many friends killed or go to prison and slowly but surely it made me think about life. One day I picked up a bible and was curious, and decided to read. I had never been to church, did not know anyone who went to church nor did I have family members who went to church. So I studied and researched on my own, researched other religions and started learning christian apologetics and slowly found myself finding truth that held up in the holy bible and knew that I needed a saviour and overtime accepted Jesus as Lord of my life.
KingsKidI know, it is a perfect quote! How about this one..."You ask to see poetry in motion and I will show you a horse." Do you ever write songs or poems?

Sarah32Im glad my comment helped some, Joyful Noise. Its just what I feel like God has taught me on the subject after years and years of studying mental health and being close to people with the issue. God is truly a gracious Lord who loves on those broken in heart- to me, that especially includes the mentally ill! And I think I`m probably predisposed to worrying myself. (I became ill with stomach ulcers caused from stress at twelve!) But God has taught me there is a difference between being concerned and being frantically worried. Obsessing over something isnt how He wants us to live (simply because He wants us to be well), but healthy concern is perfectly normal. I`ll be praying for you concerning that issue, Joyful Noise.<3 I can empathize with you greatly over that problem, and let me tell you, life is SO much better when worrying becomes a thing of the past! And thank you for your own prayers on my behalf; youre truly a sweetheart.:)

KingsKidMy mare is a paint and she is a sweetheart, too. :) We also have a palimino gelding....he is a charmer, a brat, and a sweetie all at the same time. Horses are just an amazing gift from God, dont ya think? Have you ever heard this quote? "God made horses so girls could have a best friend."
daniel@seekGodnow.orgi know what you mean about morals being rare. especially with all the "whats right for you is for you, but this is right for me" relativism everywhere. i think the verse youre talking about is in the last paragraph of Mark 8. i am definitely meaning for seekGodnow.org to be that kind of a place where christians can come online and talk about stuff that matters. another website i have is www.thankourFather.org, you should check it out. also i was wondering, you ended up saying you understood what i said/thought about the issue of women shaving their legs, but what is your response to it all?

C28 Street Team Stats
Can you believe it? This person isn't on the C28 Street Team :)
I dont know the all the details but I just learned that two children in my town were playing and found a gun and one of the kids ended up getting shot and died. Please pray for the family and especially for the mental heath of the kid that is still alive and watched.
1) He gave me Jesus, the greatest gift of love the world will ever see.
2) I have a family of so much people! My blood family & my family in Christ. (including chihuahuas)
3) I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me such as loving others.
I thank God for being washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank God for choosing me. I'm thankful for His word that we can trust and rely on. I'm thankful for His grace, patience and mercy. Also all the good gifts such as family, place to live and food. I agree with thirst do we have to stop at 3 lol :) I like how Nicole and Ariel worded it "saved me from myself"
Hi all. How has everyone been doing lately? If anything is bothering you, if you got any victories to share, stories of ways God has touched you recently, please share it! I'll pray for you and share stuff, too. I think it is important for us to stand together and support each other, and I know we do that here, but I just wanted to start this topic.
God is so good and faithful.
HI! I tried writing on your wall but it wont let me for some reason. You are so right it is important for us to be here for each other, seems how the world is against us. I have a praise, my brother in-law just accepted Jesus as his savior!!
God has never done anything wrong and is perfect in every way but my question is this, does God/Jesus have the ability to do something wrong? He says He won't and I know He never will but is this by choice? Does He have the ability to mess up and say "I'm done being good"?
Not doubting God in any way or challenging Him, just curious.
Thoughts, opinions and/or scripture on this?
This verse leads me to believe that no He can't.
Hab. 1:13 (NASB) – Your eyes are too pure to approve evil, and You cannot look on wickedness with favor.
http://ariel-masquerade.blogspot.com/2011/08/break-free.html
Maybe you guys could answer some of the questions I have in this blog? I'd love to discuss this with everyone!
That is awesome Ariel, it sounds like you had an amazing time at camp! God is so good! I understand what you mean about the emptiness of activities, like concerts, that have nothing to do with God. They are pretty lame huh!
Matthew 14:22 we see a detailed description of Peter walking on water but I want to highlight some things most don't think about when reading this event. First off the fishing boats back then were not small in size and were pretty big so when we seen Peter asked Jesus to command him to come to Him Peter had to literally drop from the boats side and land on the water, now we all know when you jump in the water you sink right away. Now after jumping from the boat and landing on the water he immediately stood on the water and started walking to Jesus. Now it says the water was really rough and choppy at the time also and Peter saw the strong wind and began to sink, again something that gets looked over is the fact he began to sink so this shows us he began to sink slowly which is amazing cause you know we would sink immediately If we were on the water we would notbegin to sink slowly we would drop right away but Peter began to sink slowly and cried out to Jesus as he reached out his hand and raised Peter to walk on top of the water again then they walked to the boat where they both would have had to have been both pulled up on-the-job boat while standing on water.
I wasn't born in a Christian home. I was born in a Catholic home and I've had a family member who told me that God hates me and is going to put me in hell. So I used to kind of think that Christians/Catholics were hypocrites. I didn't pass some tests in this Catholic class I took in 4th grade and the church leader of the Catholic church I was forced to go to said that they didn't know what to so with me. But it's sort of a long story, but I accepted Christ in 6th grade when my close friend told me about Jesus and in 9th grade I joined a youth group.
Most of the kids there were born in a non-Christian family and their parents would be mad at them for going to church. Most of my family members didn't like it and kept on telling me not to trust the people at my church. I kinda know what they mean because there would be some "Christians" who claimed to be followers of Christ but weren't at all. My other family member didn't like that I go to church on Sundays and said,"What are you learning there?! Sex?!" Some of my family members thought I was doing something bad at church or maybe I didn't even go there.
It's really hard and sometimes I would be so angry I talked back or yelled. I've heard of testimonies from people at my church whose families weren't Christians but accepted Christ later on. So I just want advice, how can I lead my family members to Christ? It's really hard to explain because my dad is kinda stubborn and he tells me that I disrespect my family/treat them like they dno't exist/irresponsible... etc and no matter what I do it's not enough. It's hard for them to try to see God working in my hearts. And PLEASE give me advice because I talk back and scream sometimes when I'm so mad.
I agree with the above comments. The pastor wife of my church was raised Catholic and her family threatened her if she talked about her faith they wouldn't allow her to come visit anymore. So she shares Jesus with her actions. Also ask your family if you can share what you are learning at church. If they say yes here are 7 scriptures that would be great for sharing Jesus. Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, John 3:3, John 14:6, Romans 10:9-11, 2 Corinthians 5:15, Revelations 3:20. Remember faith comes from hearing the message Romans 10:17 So sharing scripture is key. Have them read it out loud too :) hope this helps I will be praying for you stay strong!
Just recently i only read the bible at night during prayer but now i've decided to read in the morning after a quick workout, in the noon, and during nightly prayer. More commeted every day.
Did God love Jesus more than He loved us or did He love us just as much as He loved Jesus? And what about angels? Does He love the angels and humans equally?
Please show me some verses in the Bible. :]
God bless you, and salamat/thanks!
I believe that God loves all humans equal. Love is often confused with infatuation. True love is defined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Love is putting other peoples needs before your own needs. Love is unconditional and sacrificial. Jesus died on the cross so that ALL could be forgiven of their sins and be saved if they have faith. So that leads me to believe that God does love equally. :)
When the Devil attacks and throws you a left hook, and a right hook, knocks you down and kicks you in the chops, you stand up with black eyes, bloody nose and lip, and yet you still praise the Lord. The evil one again jumps on you when your down tells you, your no good, your not smart enough, your a sinner, theres no hope or your ugly or your overweight and delivers you an uppercut knocking you flat on your back but yet with a swollen bloody face and two swollen eyes that you cant see out of you stand back up with a smirk on your face and with every ounce of energy and at the top of your lungs scream praises to the Lord. The devil doesnt know what to do he has given you his best and asks "whats with this person why wont they stay down?". This past month has been exactly like this from the time of my bad car accident. I have had every emotional thought possible I have never ever felt before, by far I am not an emotional guy but for no reason I have had feelings of anxiety, lonely, depression, hurt, betrayal, emptiness and so on for no reason at all! But this post isnt about me I want to talk about being content and praising the Lord when the enemy attacks and you have these horrible emotional feelings. We have feelings but are not made up of feelings, repeat that tp yourself a few times. Wether your sad or depressed Gods promises and word are true, or wether your happy and joyful Gods words and promises are still the same. Paul said it best one of the most important things in life is learning to be joyful and content in life wether beeing starving in extreme need or happy with having abundant amount of things. I know its hard not to let your emotions control your actions but we have to logically understand that they are just feelings that come and go and they should not control or affect us. Especially when it comes to our faith, its easy to be happy and praise the Lord when things are good and circumstances in our life is good but what happens when the devil attacks? And knocks you down and bloodies you up and every emotion in your body are not good ones? You gonna stand right back up and praise the Lord? Or are you gonna be down for the count???
I find myself saying this verse over and over lately. I've read it many times in the past but lately it has so much meaning and I find peace in this promise I can trust from God.
Romans 8:28 For we know that ALL THINGS work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called to His purpose.
Think about that. All things good or bad will work out for good to those who love God. We don't know the whole picture but God does. This verse has helped me through a lot this past month. Like you said we should not let our emotions control us and that is so true. When I feel like I'm about to get angry or cry over something (most of the time ;))I take a deep breath and I say this verse in my head. It really helps me. And when I don't take a deep breath and go to Gods word for encouragement I find myself feeding off of my emotions and making it worst.
