This is what Camping said. I copied it from Comcast.
OAKLAND, Calif. — As crestfallen followers of a California preacher who foresaw the world's end strained to find meaning in their lives, Harold Camping revised his apocalyptic prophecy Monday, saying he was off by five months and the Earth actually will be obliterated on Oct. 21.
Camping, who predicted that 200 million Christians would be taken to heaven Saturday before global cataclysm struck the planet, said he felt so terrible when his doomsday message did not come true that he left home and took refuge in a motel with his wife. His independent ministry, Family Radio International, spent millions — some of it from donations made by followers — on more than 5,000 billboards and 20 RVs plastered with the Judgment Day message.
Follower Jeff Hopkins also spent a good deal of his own retirement savings on gas money to power his car so people would see its ominous lighted sign showcasing Camping's May 21 warning. As the appointed day drew nearer, Hopkins started making the 100-mile round trip from Long Island to New York City twice a day, spending at least $15 on gas each trip.
"I've been mocked and scoffed and cursed at and I've been through a lot with this lighted sign on top of my car," said Hopkins, 52, a former television producer who lives in Great River, NY. "I was doing what I've been instructed to do through the Bible, but now I've been stymied. It's like getting slapped in the face."
Camping, who made a special appearance before the press at the Oakland headquarters of the media empire Monday evening, apologized for not having the dates "worked out as accurately as I could have."
Through chatting with a friend over what he acknowledged was a very difficult weekend, it dawned on him that instead of the biblical Rapture in which the faithful would be swept up to the heavens, May 21 had instead been a "spiritual" Judgment Day, which places the entire world under Christ's judgment, he said.
The globe will be completely destroyed in five months, he said, when the apocalypse comes. But because God's judgment and salvation were completed on Saturday, there's no point in continuing to warn people about it, so his network will now just play Christian music and programs until the final end on Oct. 21.
"We've always said May 21 was the day, but we didn't understand altogether the spiritual meaning," he said. "The fact is there is only one kind of people who will ascend into heaven ... if God has saved them they're going to be caught up."
It's not the first time the 89-year-old retired civil engineer has been dismissed by the Christian mainstream and has been forced to explain when his prediction didn't come to pass. Camping also prophesied the Apocalypse would come in 1994, but said later that didn't happen then because of a mathematical error.
Monday, rather than give his normal daily broadcast, Camping took questions as a part of his show, "Open Forum," which transmits his biblical interpretations via the group's radio stations, TV channels, satellite broadcasts and website.
Camping's hands shook slightly as he pinned his microphone to his lapel, and as he clutched a worn Bible he spoke in a quivery monotone about some listeners' earthly concerns after giving away possessions in expectation of the Rapture.
Family Radio would never tell anyone what they should do with their belongings, and those who had fewer would cope, Camping said.
"We're not in the business of financial advice," he said. "We're in the business of telling people there's someone who you can maybe talk to, maybe pray to, and that's God."
But he also said that he wouldn't give away all his possessions ahead of Oct 21.
"I still have to live in a house, I still have to drive a car," he said. "What would be the value of that? If it is Judgment Day why would I give it away?"
Apocalyptic thinking has always been part of American religious life and popular culture. Teachings about the end of the world vary dramatically — even within faith traditions — about how they will occur.
Still, the overwhelming majority of Christians reject the idea that the exact date or time of Jesus' return can be predicted.
Tim LaHaye, co-author of the best-selling "Left Behind" novels about the end times, recently called Camping's prediction "not only bizarre but 100 percent wrong!" He cited the Bible verse Matthew 24:36, "but about that day or hour no one knows" except God.
"While it may be in the near future, many signs of our times certainly indicate so, but anyone who thinks they `know' the day and the hour is flat out wrong," LaHaye wrote on his website, leftbehind.com.
Signs of disappointment also were evident online, where groups that had confidently predicted the Rapture — and, in some cases, had spent money to help spread the word through advertisements — took tentative steps to re-establish Internet presences in the face of widespread mockery.
Crazy, right?
@Mr. Craig, everything the Bible predicts comes true, and much have yet to manifest. There is no more accurate Book in the known Universe. One of the most significant things the Bible says, 'is that no man knows the hour' (Matthew 24:42). So, don't listen to any man regarding judgment day.
Mr. Camping is probably aware of the Brown Dwarf Star that's less than a billion miles from our planet on a trajectory to come between us and the Sun this fall. We've been experiencing seismic activities from alignments due to it's large mass and its affect on the space-time fabric in our solar system.
Rev. 6:12-24 tells us of a cosmological disturbance (or the 6th seal). When this large failed star, which is so cold it's virtually undetectable, comes between us and the Sun, it will eclipse it and redden the moon's glow (read the scripture). It is so large that it will attempt to pull us out of the Sun's gravitational pull and possibly cause the poles to shift which would be catastrophic. Not to mention that is has several objects caught in its gravitational pull that pose a danger all their own. Your government is very aware of it. They've (NASA) shut down space telescopes, Stardust & Wise, to hide it. They've built underground bunkers that most of us aren't invited to take cover in. They have a seed vault on Iceland (Google it). Scripture warns these people they can't hide in the their Bunkers (or in the mountains) (Isaiah 2 & Revelation 6:12-24). Most of the profits warn us not to fear what we see in the heavens from Isiah to Zechariah. Luke 21:26 warns that unbelievers will fall over dead in fear when they see these things in the heavens. They patched it out on Google Sky so that it can't be tracked. The Vatican has a telescope called LUCIFER that's watching it, and the world's governments have a telescope based in the South Pole (SPT) watching it. Google this information, don't take my word.
Remember folks, Christians are not to fear these things, as Jesus say's these things must happen.
When Jesus returns we know he will appear to all of the world at once, now this poses an interesting question how will he do that? Will he use technilogy? Will he somehow bend the laws of physics and appear to all as he comes from heaven? What do you think?
Well, Jesus doesn't live in a finite limited time contiuum like we do. He is infinite, so he's not bound to the very phisics he implemented in the universe. This is why our universe proves a creator of all things, because our universe is finite it required an intelligence that preceded it. We can't comprehend infinite, with our limited minds.
Abraham, Moses and all of the great prophets who preceded the crucifixcion were saved by Christ's sacrifice because his sacrifice saved the world, even retroactively (from the beginning of time).
A lot of times we see talk about God the Father and Jesus but rarely the holy spirit. What is the holy spirit? What is the role of the holy spirit? How should we view the holy spirit and just how important is the holy spirit?
how awesome is he??? think about it! what idea to save our sins would have been better?? We had to have sin so we could love so why not just forgive us of our sins without sacrifice and be done with it? that shouts out pure chaos! "Eh, God loves me whether I follow him or not, so might as well go blow up a building full of people, their going to heaven too." NO! lol Not to mention we now have a perfect example to live by! Sorry, I'm a little hyper but Jesus was THE best solution, even when you get technical, the cross had to be done and sin beaten by blood.
This is why Jesus is the savior, he had a solution, unlike Allah, Buddha, Scientology, Mormonism, Catholicism, Judaism, Jehovah Witnesses, etc.
I've come to tears knowing that Jesus did this for us, and am ashamed when I run into those who don't believe. They don't understand their unbelief makes them as guilty as the executioners, Rome, and the Jewish hierarchy of that era...
There is no better plan (solution)in the universe to reunite us with the Father. I say to those folks who want to say that Jesus was merely a prophet, why is it that Jesus would say, 'I say unto you', or 'verily I say unto you', or assuredly 'I say unto to you'. The emphasis is on I, as opposed to the prophets who would say, 'thus sayeth the Lord'.
He always alluded to the fact that he was God, without quite saying it, by stating, 'if you seen me you've seen the Father', 'I and my Father are one', 'before Abraham was, I am' (of course we all know that's how he introduced himself to Moses as 'I am, that I am' in the book of Exodus).
John 15:13-15 says, Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his FRIENDS. You are my FRIENDS, IF you do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you NOT servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you FRIENDS. For all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
--Jesus has identified us as FRIENDS. He considers us to be his BRETHREN, IF we do whatsoever he commands us to do.
He came as a lamb, and he will return as a lion....
"I am coming quickly" - Jesus Christ
This makes me mad. very mad.
As soon as 911 happened, Bush declared we would find Osasma and kill him, for justice.
WHO'S GOING TO DO JUSTICE ON THOSE 100,000 PEOPLE???? Bush is free, as is Obama. I almost hope Iraq attacks us. (I don't want them to, but justice is justice).
arg there goes my night...
Well, let's say, the destruction of the towers were obvious demolition. The towers crashed down on themselves like any controlled demolition. Not to mention the fact that witnesses said they heard explosions just before the collapses, those claims were immediately squelched by the media. The Pentagon took a direct hit in an area of the Pentagon that was under construction (how lucky) by a tomahawk missile. Many experts have stated it would have been nearly impossible for an expert pilot, let alone, a barely trained inexpericed pilot to make that hit with a jet. Several witnesses saw a wingless missle approach and hit the Pentagon, their testamony was also suppressed. Not to mention the fact, that not a single body was found that was linked to the aircraft. Oh, and there were no wings dicovered either.
Bulding 7 was the smoking gun, as it was not hit, but crashed to the ground anyway. There are plenty you-tube videos that can discern explosions prior to this building's collapse. Many sructural engineers have come forward also, but were supressed.
Ousted Govenor Elliot Spitzer lead a campaign that requested the government dispense more inforamtion about 911, because he knew of information that lead to his belief of an inside job. It is believed he was set up as an adulterer and was also prosecuted for embezelment of federal money. His career ruined, and irreparable damage to his marriage occured. His ivolvement in an oline petition (for a futher 911 investigation) lead to some powerful people going after him.
Here's that website, which is still active...

I was at a college graduation ceremony here on vacation in Virginia, and right away a pastor come up to the stand and said let us bow our heads and pray I was shocked and right away did not lower my head nor did I pray because I knew what was going to happen and sure enough he said something like ..." let us pray to God, whatever you call him by name buddah, allah, lord, God" and he went on and I sat there and laughed because the logical part of me kicked in and said you just named like 3 false Gods, if there is one God how come you just named a bunch of different ones! It was a joke! After he prayed and everyone else did and was done, I bowed my head and said a prayer to the one true living God.
This is that interfaith spirit that's being pressed on the masses descretely. When the government starts forcing it on us, there's going to be problem, and they will, as prophesied (Revelation 13:4).
what do you all think about wives and their role in a marriage? do you believe they should submit to their husbands?
i personally believe they should, so long as their husband doesn't ask them to sin
Hello everyone.
So in my history class were reading about the great depression. And I need to ask people questions and what it was like living through the great depression times. And I wondering if any ones has family members that lived though that time. You can give me some info or short stories about it too. That's about all. thankyou. Please reply..

Zmelli, is correct, we must divest as much as possible from the dollar and hedge it with silver and gold God's money. However, Christians must all remember that we aren't a part of the world economy. Our faith in the Lord will result in super natural protection from an increasingly spiritually hostile world. The first book Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our worries unto him.
@Craig - Did you know the government is trying to outlaw personal gardens? They want to make it illegal for you to feed the food you grow and harvest to your children. They want you on the grid, so to speak, because they want to poison the masses for various reasons (mind control to population reduction).
Your trust in God is by far your best weapon. I'm merely pointing out these facts to you to illustrate the evil that we are up against.
so I'm taking my anatomy final tomorrow. This might seem dumb and kind of like unimportant, but i've tried so hard in this class throughout the year. And I'm studying now, but I just can't fail a class. I mean everything I do is never good enough for my parents anyways. If it's an a then it should have been an a plus. I have a c in anatomy and I have to take the class again if I don't pass the final. So please, if you could just say a little prayer for me throughout your day or something? Thanks so much guys, love the support system here!!
Nicole, you are in my prayers. Tell your parents that your most important achievement is knowing Christ. I'll take divine wisdom over worldly intellect any day of the week. I'd rather my kid be a Janitor that knows Jesus, than a Harvard graduate who never knew him. Without Christ, this life is meaningless. I pray that you do well, and that you are an overcomer...
