Please pray for my daughter who is in an unhealthy relationship with her "first love" boyfriend. She has been told by family, friends, and her pastor that she should cut all ties to him and re-focus on God and His plans for her life. She has started to lie to people and sneaks off to see him, while claiming they are "just friends". It is too early for them to be friends. They both need the Holy Spirit to convict them and help them "want" to make the split, because they know it is what they need to do, not because people tell them to do it. They need to understand about the process of repent and restoration. It breaks my heart to see her being manipulated by this person, although they are both "young adults" and apparently since they are not ready to listen to wise council, they need the Lord to take control of their lives. I, as her Mom, also need prayer to "let go and let God" take care of her. I know our relationship is also stressed because I hate seeing her go down a dangerous path, yet every time I give it to God...within a day, I take it back. I need help to truly cut my ties and let her grow up to be the woman of God He wants her to be. The relationship between her and her sister is also stressed because of the lies and lack of obedience to be reconciled with the Lord.
